Laura
In town for work, so looked up random places. Took me a bit to decide as they have quite a few choices but decided on the cheese fondue. Overall, it is not worth the price to me. It came with a handful of pretzels, a small bowl of French fries, cooked broccoli that was too soft to dip, and half an apple. After a couple of minutes, the cheese started to cool and coagulate. Execution could be better. I also got the grilled shrimp entrée with broccoli (I didn't know the fondue also came with it or I wouldn't have) and mac and cheese. The shrimp were delicious, very well seasoned, and a nice kick. The broccoli was also very well prepared and seasoned properly. The mac and cheese was not great but also not bad. Although it was not macaroni, it was bowtie. Couldn't decide on a dessert sp I got a slice of cheesecake and a slice of rainbow. Cheesecake was delicious! The rainbow cake was good also, but very sweet. I'd definitely like to try some other things here!

One of our favorite places to eat. The food and service are always excellent. The portions are huge.

The place is set up like the 60s for all your startreck fans movie playing in the background. I thought that the service was a bit slow. It could it been that our waiter was just taking g care of only 2 tables!!!!. Our waitress could it been more attentive to our orders, table, drinks,. We order a cheese fondue for appetizers . I don't know what kind of cheese they had in the foundoo container. It tasted like the cheese came from a package of powder cheese. Mt Olive should be ashamed of charging the price they charge for them to give you powder cheese and some liquid form of something for the foundoo. The portfolio of food was generous for the price.. The fried green tomatoes were good. The pop pies was the staples subget conversation piece to talk about.

We came in today and it was very busy. The hostess was apologetic and communicated the wait time well. When are toddler was going a little wild she kindly provided coloring crayons and coloring book. Kyle was our server and he was so sweet. The food was delicious. I had the honey Brie and chicken sandwich. Our check came to $65 which covered 2 meals, a flight of mimosas and a 20% tip! Would love to come here again but will definitely make a reservation in advance for Sunday!

The Mod Olive, formerly the Plaid Turnip, has been one of my "go to" locations for breakfast and lunch. The food is usually amazing, the prices are great, and the portions are huge, My country fried steak was a little too salty for my taste, but everything else was great! The service is always friendly and accommodating, and the 70s decor is relaxing and quaint. I really wish they would bring back the fried pickles though. 😩

Kathy was an amazing server. Our dogs were able to sit on their shaded patio, and the food was amazing. The portions are huge and everything was fresh. We are traveling so it’s always a relief to find hidden gems like these. This restaurant saved our morning! The blueberry pancakes were to die for.

This was my 3rd visit. I don't usually revisit restaurants by I really enjoyed this one and I was in the neighborhood SOOOOOOO.... Let me start by saying The service and atmosphere were great! My waitress Latrice was OUTSTANDING! The Meatballs and Fried Green Tomatoes were Fantastic. HOWEVER, The menu had incorrect descriptions (yes plural) and I waited for a replacement order for my first incorrect meal that was also wrong. *The Win Win Chicken Din Does not come with a Corn Puree as stated on the menu. It never did. It comes with just a bunch of kernels of corn. *The Montecristo is not grilled as the menu says. It is served on plain cold (or cold when it got to me) French toast that was doughy. Not a Montecristo! I will not be back a 4th time.
