Visited for the first time after work for a bite to eat. Enjoyed my hamburger and onion rings. I'd like to go back for dinner to try some of the other options. The service was on point, and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Nice views too

Great place on the water for lunch! I had the seafood platter, which came with shrimp, scallops, fish, and a crab cake, and my friend had the crab cakes. Service was excellent, and the food was hot and fresh! Would come back next time I’m in the area.

2/27 @ 1450 my wife and I went to Decoys for a late lunch. We both ordered the seafood platter. We were disappointed! The scallops were dime sized, not large as shown in the menu. Shrimp also were on the small size.

With so many places to choose from, I am so glad my auntie took me here. It was my birthday week and Decoys did not let me down. Everything was great. The location was breathtaking being right by the water. The server was amazing and made sure he took care of us. Great food. Clean establishment. Awesome staff. 10/10 😊

We had been here before and really enjoyed it so we decided to visit again with my parents being in town and my son being over with his new girlfriend. Everything was so wonderful, the food was absolutely amazing!! We had the crab dip for an appetizer, and our table ordered the blackened salmon, shrimp and grits, 12oz ribeye with crab cake, fish tacos, chicken sandwich, and the corn chowder soup. Our server, Amari, did the most perfect job! He got all of our orders correct, made sure the drinks stayed filled, was sure to remove dirty fishes and kept an eye on us without being overbearing. The chefs made our food perfectly and we really enjoyed everything from the food, the atmosphere and the servers. Definitely will make it a point to return.

I called the restaurant ahead of time to inform them that I was going to have a large party and although they don’t use reservations, they still took my name and party size now so when we arrived on Sunday, they had our table all set up and ready to go upon arrivalnot only was the staff so kind and attentive, but the food was amazing and it was so good. I will definitely be back. I’m so glad that we chose this restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday and she had a really great time. I will definitely recommend decoys for future special events and or just great food.

Disappointing Experience at The Decoy Restaurant As a visitor to Virginia, I was eager to try The Decoy, which came highly recommended. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Despite arriving with 5 out of 7 members of our party, and with the restaurant nearly empty, we were refused seating. The wait for our food was excessively long, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. The service was disappointing as well, with minimal attentiveness and a lack of hospitality that was hard to ignore. The ambiance was honestly the best part of the evening, with a nice setting and atmosphere. However, ambiance alone can’t make up for poor service and cold food. I truly hope our experience was an exception, but I can’t say I would recommend The Decoy based on this visit.
