Barons Pub is a little hidden gem in Suffolk. The portions that are give with meals is so worth the price. A McDonald’s run would cost more and you get more food at Barons. Service was wonderful and location is great. The atmosphere is laid back and warm. They have a bar upstairs and also a private room for special events. The best club sandwich I have yet to find! People who love them as much as I, are definitely aware there are not many places that make or even make them tasteful anymore. Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying great food and service.

Second time here, always a good experience. Ordered the soup and sandwich & the BBQ with potato salad this time. BLT and She Crab Soup. Generous with the bacon for the sandwich and the bread was perfect. The soup was amazing. Service was fast and very personable. Thanks again, we'll be back!

Such a wonderful local hangout. Great food, great service, great people. Some of the best burgers around and a big variety of options to choose from. I love the fact that they bring your food out AS SOON AS ITS DONE instead of letting plates sit under the lamp until the whole tables are done. That makes a huge difference. Drinks are reasonably priced 2. Can't ask for much more.

Group of 5, service was quick, accurate, prices were reasonable. Side note: all the appetizers were big enough they could be shared among us as main dishes. The drinks were just as great as the food. Loved everything we ordered but a special shout out to the Tuna Bites and Fried Pickles.

I ordered the Red Eye Burger. I asked for the French fries to be super crispy with a bowl of mayo on the side. The food must have been sitting for awhile before it was brought out. The egg was fried hard, the yolk was solid. No mayo on the burger as ordered, the burger was warm not hot of the grill. The fries came out soft, warm (not hot as they should be if fresh cooked), limp and somewhat soggy. They appeared to be bagged frozen seasoned shoestring fries, not the hand cut delicious fries as stated in prior reviews.I had to track the waitress down for my bowl of mayo and she gave me a little plastic tub. To her credit, she did bring me two more. Another person at my table asked for her fries to be well done also, and they out out the same as mine. The wife ordered the 3/4 pound steamed shrimp entree, and that was perfect, the best of the 3 meals.

This is a neat downtown pub, really liked the environment almost reminded me of Cheers a little bit! We came here for lunch and dinner then drinks one day while traveling here. The staff didn’t let our drinks run out, were timely and had personalities and made all our experiences very enjoyable! It was just what we needed. When we come back here this will be our go to! Excellent bourbon selection too! Have a lot of good stuff there! Thank you!

We walk in and seat ourselves. It got very busy about 30 minutes after we arrived so we expected service to be slow. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were good. My wife got the BLT with a cup of the soup of the day (tomatoe bisque) and I got the cowboy burger with fries. The bisque was good and my wife said her BLT was also good. The fries are hand cut/homemade so that was really nice. My burger was very dry but otherwise fine. All in all not a terrible experience. I say that last sentence with an ending note. We walk in and get smacked in the face by this musty, moldy cat piss smell. It was very overwhelming. It was less so when we walked up to the bar area where we sat, but still very prevalent. We debated just leaving, but we stuck it out because we wanted to try the place. Idk what it is, but it smells awful in there. Idk how people handle it.
