Journey was our SUPER waitress ~ she was so kind & helpful. It was like we were BFFs or something right off the get go! We had always ate at the hibachi side ~ we decided we liked the sushi side better. The food, as usual, was delish!! I've ALWAYS loved that there's such big big portions that I can have like 3 meals out of one plate. 1000000/10 would recommend! Ask for Journey ~ she’s a blessing for sure!

We had a great time today at yamato for a late lunch. Hibachi times are 11-3 and we went at 2pm. Service was great and food was very satisfying. Yamato has a great dining atmosphere and extensive menu options without being overwhelming. My husband and I ordered the ny strip hibachi with fried rice, veggies, soup and salad. It totally hit the spot!

Two in our party and joined 4 others for hibachi grill. Wife and I shared shrimp tempura roll. For lunch we had steak and shrimp with fried rice and vegetables. They offered a $2 upgrade to filet Mignon over strip steak and I highly suggest this option. Steak had a wonderful flavor and was ultimately tender and delicious. It was my wife’s birthday and they surprised her with a pineapple boat desert. Chef was great hibachi cooking and was entertaining.

Good service and the place was clean and tidy. Lunch specials come with soup and salad. The salmon set was delicious with decent slices of salmon. The atmosphere was dark and gloomy and was somewhat warm inside while eating my meal.

We have always enjoyed Yamato!! Great food and always fresh fish. Pretty cool there was an artist in the house. This is definitely one of our go to spots in Tyler!! Service is always on point and resturant is always clean!! Price is comparable to other places in the area.

Today, I stopped in with a friend and enjoyed a Rainbow roll and a Spicy California Roll. They were awsome except that the California roll wasn't Really spicy... but we enjoyed the rolls and the service greatly and can't wait to go back!
