Prime 102

This restaurant is beautiful! The building and location transports you to the 20s. It is an East Texas gem! The omnivores at the table were happy! The steak and crab cakes were delicious and cooked to perfection. If you eat traditionally southern this place is amazing! The food was beautifully plated as well! I’ve been to numerous restaurants at this price point that even specialize in steak and I have gotten amazing vegan meals. This isn’t one. Unfortunately, the waiter didn’t know what vegan was and did not have context on how to change the menu. We did get an altered Cauliflower Steak which was really good but not enough food. We wanted to get sides but it was very unclear from the waiter what could be altered. I’m a bit disappointed in the staff not knowing how to accommodate vegans and the lack of options especially at this price point.

Wow! The reviews are accurate. Quiet place, good music, cozy, and excellent service. Eli made the perfect recommendations, and Sam was excellent help as well. We will definitely be back. We had the pork belly, prime steak, crab cakes, and specialty beets. The drinks were equally amazing. Too much food for two.

We dined on 11-13-24 to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Christian was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing. All recommendations he made were perfect! They also treated us with dessert that was the best butter cake and homemade ice cream we've ever had! The owners were also very attentive as well and appreciative that we chose to dine at their restaurant. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I really enjoy sitting at the bar and having a really nice lunch. We have been here around 20 times over the past few years, and we are glad to have a spot like this in Tyler. We love the Prime 102 burger with the truffle fries, New Orleans BBQ shrimp, tuna tartare, and CRAB CAKES. All of the food items are good from here. The crab cake is the best I've had in Texas. Job well done. We have never had a bad experience here, and the bartenders are always friendly. The crab cake is not listed on the bar menu, but you can still get it. Did I mention CRAB CAKE? 👌 EDIT: My wife was in the mood for a holiday drink, and Meredith (I'm pretty that's right) made a harvest chai drink that is really good. Check it out around the holidays.

On the day of the eclipse, 8Apr2024, I proposed to my Girlfriend during the eclipse at Sulphur Springs and on our way back to Austin we wanted to celebrate at a classy restaurant. Mission accomplished! We couldn’t be happier with Prime 102. I am a steak man and tried the 45 day dry aged ribeye medium rare. Was cooked to perfection. My lady had the double cut pork chop and it was delicious and tender. The attention to detail at this location is outstanding. The starter bread is amazing, croissant like. We enjoyed the pork belly and the jumbo lump crab cake compares to top Baltimore entrees. We ended the evening with the butter cake topped with ice cream and was the perfect end to our meal. Our server, Matt, helped make our evening a night we will always remember. It was a proper celebration. Thank you Matt and Prime 102! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for celebratory occasions.
