Customer Review Summary
Sushi Japon & Hibachi Grill offers good food with generous portions that received many compliments. The tamarind margarita drinks are notably strong. While the crab Rangoon was only okay, the hibachi teriyaki chicken and veggies were enjoyed by diners. A special touch for birthday celebrations includes complimentary fried ice cream. The hibachi experience features entertaining chefs with signature songs and disco lights, making it a hit with kids. Food quality is consistently praised as fresh and delicious, with friendly staff noted across multiple reviews. Prices are seen as reasonable, encouraging repeat visits. While one group encountered a significant issue with a reservation delay, overall experiences lean positive. The restaurant is family-owned, remodeled, and maintains good service and food quality at both locations.

The food was good our group had lots of compliments to share about the portions and taste. My tamarind margarita drink was very boozy (more in the group said the same about theirs but I guess that could be a good thing). The broth was tasty and the rice was good. I had high hopes for the crab Rangoon but it was just ok. I did enjoy the hibachi teriyaki chicken and veggies. Overall we enjoyed our experience and bc I was celebrating a birthday they provided me a plate of fried ice cream which I thought was very kind and shared amongst my friends.

My kids love hibachi and this place did the most we have seen in town with the “show” portion. Each chef comes out with their own “signature” song and ours had a little “disco” light too. The food was solid. The staff were friendly. This is our new family go to for teppanyaki.

I ordered lunch today and it was ready when I arrived. The staff is so nice. This is my first time eating from this restaurant and the food is so good. They have cream cheese wontons which is amazing to me for someone who does not like crab. The price point is awesome and the food is just delicious! Will definitely be back!

Had an amazing hamachi collar and combo sunomono! Can highly recommend if you're not looking for the traditional table show.

I was looking for a good sushi restaurant and I happened to stop in this place. The food tastes very fresh and the servers and staff were very attentive and friendly. They also do hibachi and it looked like a fun experience. Definitely will be back here again to try the hibachi but 10/10 for service and food

Made reservations at 8pm for a birthday party and didn’t get seated until almost 9pm!!! I was reassured on the phone when making the reservation that they could accommodate 20 people with 2 tables and a connecting bridge. The wait was ridiculous as we had 9 hungry kids to feed. We were just standing there for an hour while we watched other parties get seated. Then we were rushed out since they close at 10pm. To solve the issue of waiting, we were offered to split the group into 2 different tables if we wanted to eat, but what’s the point of making a reservation? They could have at least called us to tell us to come later or most well-ran restaurants would leave a table ready if they accept a reservation. We kept hearing excuses of we are cleaning the table now, but then it was, we are putting you in the corner for your birthday party, etc. It was honestly not acceptable and I would recommend going to the other location off 35.

We have been going to the original location for years and tried the second location tonight. Great family owned restaurant, same great service and quality of food. Very nice, totally remodeled 2nd location Hibachi and normal seating available.

The food was excellent! We had 2 little ones under 5 with us and they had a blast too! The chef definitely went out of his way to entertain the kids!
