Went last week for their “Social Hour”, best happy hour in Austin by far. We tried almost all of their small plates and they’re all 🔥 We each started with an espresso martini which were pretty good. The prime tacos are great, with a nice amount of steak in them, the two sauces that come with them are great as well. The sliders were also pieces of steak, a very rich taste. I was expecting a burger party but was pleasantly surprised by this. The pineapple kabobs I thought would have pineapple in them, it’s actually just 3 kabobs stuck on a pineapple, they’re great though. Those 3 items were my favorite for sure. I’m not a shrimp guy (they were for my gf) she said they were good, only complaint is they didn’t come with cocktail sauce. The carrot cake is not on the happy hour special but was definitely worth the price ($18). I took it home and it took me about 3 days to finish 😂 It has pieces of pineapple in it too, which I liked. Will definitely be back again for this Social Hour, and in general because I’ve liked everything I’ve tried here.

Before going to dinner at J-Prime Steakhouse, don't forget to make a reservation. The restaurant is located downtown and has valet parking. There are tables available and a bar where you can dine. The service is quality and the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is really tasty, there is a good wine list and the Carajillo is a real treat. I recommend it and whenever I'm in Austin for work I always take the opportunity to get away there.

We had a great experience here! Both of our steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare, including our 2inch+ thick bone in filet! The bone marrow was a bit too sweet for our liking, but that is just personal preference. Our bar tender/server was great with recommendations for food and wine. There was a live DJ while we were dining which added to the experience.

OMG!! My first time going here and the food was delicious!!! The staff were very nice and attentive. We had Ashley as our hostess and she was awesome!!!! I got engaged and I was totally caught off guard. They also gave us some free appetizers to try. They were also very tasty!!

This restaurant is lovely and super clean. The Rockefeller oysters 🦪 were the best I’ve ever had—so good that I placed two orders of them. They were the perfect balance of cheesy, creamy, garlicky goodness and there was not a weird grittiness that you sometimes get with oysters. The plating on the first order was very cute as the oysters were placed on pebbles. The ribeye was cooked to perfection (Rare plus, how I like it) and had the perfect crust. I enjoyed the drinks as they gave me a nice little buzz to get my night started. The service was great and the energy in the room was overall amazing. I’d say this is one of the best fine dining restaurants I’ve been to and they’re definitely worth trying.

Good steak dinner. The service is prompt and friendly and the setting is modern and clean. What you would expect from an expensive steak house. I expected more from the food. The meats were all good, but the sides were disappointing. Still a good spot for a client dinner.

I had such an amazing night at J-prime. We called and made a reservation. We came in and were handed a rose and seated us quickly and it was a busy night. At our table they had set up a beautiful light and candle ( See pics below) . The food was amazing. The soup, the lamb, and I never thought I would like broccoli so much, theirs tasted amazing very favorable, the mashed potatoes was just as hood. Over all the food presentation and service 10/10. Miguel kept checking in on us constantly and even surprised us with a dessert. Thank you Miguel and his amazing team at J-prime for helping us celebrate our anniversary in such a beautiful atmosphere from the welcome staff to the waiter to the chefs who made amazing food everything was beyond the 5 starts I have given. I definitely recommend.
