Customer Review Summary

The service at Bob's Steak & Chop House is highly praised, with multiple reviews highlighting outstanding waitstaff, particularly Hunter. Patrons appreciated the quality of the ribeye, lobster tail, and various appetizers, describing them as cooked to perfection. However, there are significant complaints regarding inconsistent food quality, particularly at the Barton Creek Resort location, with some steaks being undercooked or too salty. Long wait times and issues with certain dishes led to disappointment among larger dining groups. Despite the mix of experiences, many guests expressed intentions to return due to the overall positive service and certain standout dishes. The atmosphere is described as upscale, making it suitable for special occasions, but some diners experienced noise disturbances which affected their meal. Reservations are recommended due to the popularity of the restaurant.

First, I have to recognize our server Hunter. He was outstanding and made our meal even more amazing. His recommendations were spot on and his enthusiasm was so appreciated. Our meals were both perfection. The lobster tail and the ribeye entrees were cooked and seasoned to perfection along with the sides. We will be back!

Bob’s Steakhouse has always been my first choice when it comes to steaks. I frequently visit the Dallas Omni location and have NEVER had a bad experience like we did at the Bob’s located in the Barton Creek Resort, it was incredibly disappointing. The quality of the food was mediocre compared to what I’m used to. My steak, ordered medium-well, arrived very rare, making it impossible to finish. The mashed potatoes were overly sweet, as was the carrot, which detracted from the overall taste. I dined with a group of friends, we were a party of 11 and we all encountered similar issues. Several steaks were either undercooked or excessively salty. The two-hour wait for our food, which we initially thought would be worth it, only added to our frustration when the meal did not meet expectations. The one highlight of the evening was our waiter, Hunter, who provided excellent service. The manager approached our table and explained that several other tables had similar experiences. He assured us that he would speak with the executive chef to address the issues. While he did compensate us with one free steak and dessert, it did not make up for the overall disappointment of the evening. This experience was a significant letdown, for from what we have come to expect from Bob's Steakhouse.

What a magnificent service. This is an upscale chophouse. Our waiter was great and the manager Donovan made our experience even better. For appetizers we had the lobster bites and scallops. My oh my the lobster bites were amazing. The scallops were large in size and were almost as equally as good. For entree’s we had the ribeye, and specials which were the wagyu & lobster with baked potato and smashed potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection as well as the wagyu. At the end we had a brownie ice cream sundae. Which was super moist. The ice cream was great!

Bob's Steak & Chop House in Austin Texas at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa was a wonderful dinner. We made reservations for a Monday evening Dinner. We were staying at the resort so access to the restaurant was very easy. Our waiter was very professional. The atmosphere was nice for a typically steak out. When it came to the food, we ordered a bit. We started with the Bread with Butter and Calamari. Both were good. The Dinner was great! I had the Ribeye with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Carrot, while she had the Crab Cakes. We would both order the same meal again! Next time we stay at the Resort we will be back for more. If you are staying at the Resort we highly recommend having a nice dinner here.

Wow. The NY Strip was prepared impeccably well. Hats off to the chef. Everything in fact was pure perfection. From the warm bread, the Chophouse salad, side of broccoli & of course the Dirty Bob. Fantastic. The restaurant is located right outside the entrance of the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. The hotel is massive but necessarily so because I sure needed a walk after a meal I could not devour lol They also offer homemade pickles & peppers. The waitress said who makes them only makes them specifically for Bob's & that they are known for them. If you don't see any on your table be sure to ask for them to give it a try. The service was phenomenal. I'm sure you'll be very pleased here for a special occasion or a nice treat.

You must visit. This quant restaurant is nestled in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country of Barton Creek. The food is fabulous. Great service. Our server Emily was so sweet and gave wonderful recommendations. Socially distanced tables so make reservations.

Steak was undercooked, lobster had a 5 inch piece of cartilage in it and did not taste fresh at all, and we could hear people screaming in the kitchen throughout the dinner. Overall very disappointed in an expensive and underwhelming dinner. Waitress was nice enough.
