I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Upon entering, you emerge into a traditional American restaurant, full of decorations, but gradually you notice some differences: a tablet menu on the table where you can also pay the bill, a children's kit for children to draw and paint on the table. The service was good, what I thought was cool is that from time to time there are country presentations by some waitresses. Now the food is the highlight: both the biscuits as a starter, the fried onions (in my opinion, even better than the ones at Outback) and the ribs that are so succulent they melt in their mouths. We will definitely be back soon.

This was my second time coming here to this location off of Battleground. I was greeted by the beautiful atmosphere around me, everything was clean and bright, music was blasting at the perfect pitch getting the jam on for everybody. They had the yeast rolls and the meats out on display when you first came in. I found the heart-shaped meats for Valentine's Day really cute. The waitresses and hosts were fast to take people over to their tables and get them cleaned. Our waitress Vasilios was probably the coolest waitress I've ever met. He's a chill guy with a very bubbly and vivid personality. He even has that charm sharp look to him. He was quick on his feet to take people's table requests and check up on everybody. Super sweet dude. The food was delicious, the ribs fell off the bone, the shrimp weren't chewy at all, and they perfectly melted a buttery savory taste into my mouth, the sirloin steak also melted in my mouth and was blasting juicy flavor into my mouth and the steak sauce they make themselves here added the perfect kick to it just like A1 sauce. The loaded baked potato and even just the plain potato were perfectly salted on the outside and were piping hot fresh. The loaded toppings added all that extra goodness. I'd just suggest that they had green onions as an option to add to it. The salad was good as standard. And the cheese fries were average. They should've used nacho cheese instead of nomarl shedded cheddar cheese because it immediately hardened, and we massive just ate plain french with bacon bits. The kids' meal chicken tenders were moreso chicken nugget bites, and the fries were steak fries like always, which tasted good, and they gave a good amount. I'd just give a bit more chicken to the kids' meal for being fact that it's $6.99. They were giving away Valentine's specials for the day, and they were good deals, so I appreciate and respect that. It was $49.99 for two entree meals with an appetizer. And then they gave out cards that were if you bought an entree meal, you'd get a free kids meal on the side for 12 and under. Love this place would come again!

Just disappointed. House salad that I ordered had frozen pieces of lettuce along with pieces that were no good. The cheese on the fries were hard like they had let the cheese sit on there for hours. The bacon bits were not bits but clusters. Asked for the burger to be well done to get an almost raw burger & having to send it back. Won’t be going back in a while to this location.

Family went there to celebrate our son's birthday. We were sat in the very back booth. Our waiter was pretty good and attentive at the beginning. But we think he was preparing for closing and got missing a few times. Our salads and bread came out on time and the bread was nice and warm. Our entrees (ribs, chicken, fish), however, were lukewarm to cold. After waiting for the waiter for over 20 minutes, we had to send the chicken back to have it warmed up and the others just decided to grin and bear it. It was towards the end of the night so we didn't want to chance them throwing our meals in the microwave and then trying to stomach hot, rubbery food. We paid $120 (with tip) for 4 adults and a 4 year old. It wasn't worth it. We have better luck when we do take out. They have signs for curb pickup and a number to call when you arrive but you have to get out of your car and go inside to get it. And when they say it'll be ready in 20 minutes, prepare to wait for 30-40 min. But that's another story/experience to review.

Very disappointed last night. This is our “go to” restaurant about twice a month. Lately food has been overcooked, making it dry and tough. This was true of bbq chicken a month ago and last night’s filet mignon. They offered to cook another barbecue chicken for me which is what they did. I took a bite or two of it and we brought the rest of it home for leftovers. I ended up throwing it out because it was also tough and overcooked. We always share a steak. Last night we ordered a medium filet but got well done, no pink, not juicy, dry and barely any flavor. When the server finally checked on us I asked for a manager. But when she came she totally mishandled the situation. I showed her that the steak was overcooked. There was no concern or apology. She agreed it was overcooked but didn’t want to do anything about it. I was shocked because in the past managers have been cordial and asked whether we wanted another steak or a coupon for one on a future visit. Anyway, she proceeded to argue with me which truly ruined our evening. She said we had already taken 4 bites. That was interesting because I’ve never had a manager tell me what the criteria is for replacing an entrée. Keep in mind that my husband and I had split the steak. So I didn’t know if she was just looking at the half on one plate, not realizing that we had shared the steak so I took the chunk that was on my plate and put it in the same plate with my husband’s. It was obvious that four bites had not been taken out of that one steak. She still wanted to argue and do nothing about it. I told her we spend a lot of money there, including about three margaritas on every visit. I am sure they have high profit margin too. I never demanded another steak or even what the compensation should be. I just expected her to make it right. Finally, without saying a word she picked up the plate with the steak and my husband’s half of the baked potato and marched off with it. So we didn’t know if she was cooking another one or not. We had eaten so little that I was hoping that’s what they were doing. After a very long time, guessing about 15-20 minutes, a different manager came to the table but with a coupon rather than any food. We essentially had no entree for dinner. The male manager discounted our meal and gave us a coupon for an entree on the next visit. Given our experience I’d say that was fair compensation, even though it doesn’t make up for the way it was handled by the rude female manager. It ruined our evening. We live half way between the Battleground location and the one in High Point. We’ll be going to High Point one for a while. The female manager needs more training on how to handle customer complaints. Listen, acknowledge, apologize and offer something to make it right. In some cases it may be something as small as a free dessert. But most importantly, never never argue with a customer. Update: Guest Relations called me just 3 days later. I think his name was Donnie. Very nice. He wanted to hear my story and make sure to win back our patronage. I really appreciated the call and compensation we received. It truly does help. It wasn’t as much about the steak, (it happens) it was the mishandling of it that was so unpleasant. And I believe the young lady may receive some further training.

Aidan was an exceptional server this evening and a breath of fresh air amongst today’s service industry. He was attentive, timely and friendly. Thank you, Aidan! We’ll be back!

I do not recommend ordering To Go. I ordered to go a while ago and received hard old bread. I brought the bag back to the window asked for fresh bread and watched the girl dump the bag of rolls back into the black box….including the one I had taken a bite of. I informed her, what she did with that information I don’t know. I did another to go order tonight and let them know my previous experience and that I would prefer not to have rolls out of their storage box. I was told it would be a 5 minute wait for fresh bread which I had no problem with. After about 10 minutes I came back up to the window and she went to go grab my “fresh” bread. I watched her go right back to that box and start filling a bag for me despite me waiting for fresh bread. Once she noticed I saw what she was doing she went around the corner and got the fresh bread I requested. The practices in the to go area are blatantly unsanitary and they have little regard for the customer. I used to leave a tip ahead of time but I’ve experienced too many negative interactions with their to go staff. Dining in here is fairly decent and the servers are great! I will be steering clear of to go orders from now on.
