Machete offers high-quality food with unique flavors and textures, but the plates are notably small. The duck wings and monkfish receive particular praise, while the meatballs and some other dishes do not warrant the price. Service is exceptional, with knowledgeable and friendly staff enhancing the dining experience. The atmosphere is casual yet vibrant, promoting social interaction among diners, although it may feel crowded at times. Overall, Machete is recommended for those looking to enjoy a relaxed, shareable dining experience with thoughtfully crafted dishes and cocktails.

Food was very good, but SMALL plates. I mean small. Has the duck wings, best for taste and size. Cauliflower dish was fine but small. Monkfish taste was great, but only two medallions. Meatballs should be missed especially for the price. Appetizer rice ball’s were the best thing of the night, but only three served. Cauliflower dish shown.

Machete in Greensboro is an absolute gem—easily one of the best restaurants in the city! From the moment you walk in, you know you’re in for something special. The food is not just good; it’s interesting, with flavors and textures that keep you guessing in the best way possible. And for the quality and portions? Shockingly well-priced! Our waiter was fantastic—polite, knowledgeable, and rocking a tiara like a true king. He broke down the menu perfectly since it’s a little vague, making sure we knew exactly what we were in for. And let’s talk about the seating—this place brings people together, literally. You’re so close to other diners that conversations just happen naturally, and trust me, you want to know what everyone else is eating. Now, the food. The duck wings? Absolute 🔥. The monkfish? Delicious. But the Brussels sprouts? OH. MY. GOODNESS. They came out like The Rock stepping into the ring—bold, loud, and ready to lay the smackdown on my taste buds. If you know what The Rock is cooking, you need to try these. No doubt about it, I’ll be back. Machete is a must-visit spot for any food lover in Greensboro!

Great servers and staff, so attentive. But on to the incredible food…wow. The sauces of these smaller dishes really are what make the difference. The chef really knows how to pack a punch of flavor into small bites. Until you go, you wont really understand. Thank me when you meet me as you will appreciate the experience. Bon appetit!

Oh my lord, what an experience! Art was our waiter who guided us through the menu, and what an experience!! Try the duck wings, is s must! EVERYTHING was delicious, the bread, the scallops, the pastrami... Anything you try would be delicious. We had as desert coconut 3 leches, chocolate malt ice cream and Pavlova, oh lord the pavlova! So, so good. It's a tasty experience. I would recommend 100%

This place is so special! Every dish is thoughtfully made with unusual flavor/ingridient combinations. The craft cocktails are perfectly balanced and expertly mixed. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. They do a great job announcing each dish and its ingredients. The casual-chic atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out or a date. They also do cute desert surprises on the house for special ocasions. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for great food, amazing drinks, and a stylish vibe!

If you are looking to try something new with a few friends, then this is definelty the place for you. Machete offered a very different dining experience focused around sharing food, fun, and drinks. Though a bit pricey, the dishes are perfectly designed to be portioned to share in several courses, leaving you feeling satisfied. Our server was beyond amazing, and we could not have asked for better service. However, the atmosphere is a bit crowded and does not foster a good one-on-one environment; even when reserving a table prior. I highly recommend starting with some homemade sourdough bread, sampling several of the main dishes, and finishing with a sweet treat and coffee.

We just moved our daughter to NC A&T and settled on dinner at Machete. SO GLAD WE DID. Eating at Machete is a culinary experience. Don’t come here wanting a quick dinner because you will be doing yourself a disservice. Our experience started with our server Molly explaining the menu and how the food comes out as it’s ready. Since this is a tapas/small plate shareable experience you’re given plenty of time to savor every bite before your next plate is brought out. Overall rating Buccal Orgasm! If I could give 10 stars I would. We had the corn ribs, the foie gras churros, the duck wings (OMG), the fluke, and octopus. For dessert the coconut tres leches. The most enjoyable meal we’ve had in a long time!

My husband and I decided to check out Machete for our anniversary! We had such an awesome experience! We were seated quickly with our reservation. Our server, Cameron, was AWESOME! We had noted my alpha-gal allergy on the reservation and Cameron came prepared with a hand written list of mammal-free options from the menu! My allergy makes eating out a challenge and I’ve had other restaurants treat me like questions/accommodations were a burden, so the fact that she did that for me meant SO much! All of our food was delicious, but the duck wings were phenomenal! We will definitely be back!
