We went in for dinner on Valentine's Day, and it was busy as expected. But it was worth the wait. Servers there were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered 2 steaks: medium-well and medium. The medium was cooked to perfection. The medium-well could've been cooked a little longer, but it was too delicious to complain. We also ordered the bacon bites appetizer; delicious. Overall, we will be coming back soon. Of course, not on a busy holiday. Definitely recommend for a good steak.

Kau has been a regular we rotate to go to in our house for years. Last night was the first time where my husband and I had the absolute worst meal we’ve had at a restaurant in recent memory. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which resembled the taste of the 90’s/00’s school cafeteria salisbury steak. It was absolutely inedible. My husband’s steak was seared properly, but somewhere along the way the kitchen must have run out of the bare minimum of seasonings, such as salt, pepper, or butter. This one will be removed from our rotation for the foreseeable future as it was not worth the $100 we spent on the meal.

We just had our Employee Christmas party here today, and the food, drinks, and service was amazing along with the atmosphere! Definitely will return for a Date Night with my husband!

Everything was awesome. We sat at the outside bar because of the great weather. Food was good. We had the collard dip, sausage dip and the soul rolls were the show stopper. I ordered the chicken Philly and my wife ordered the Buffalo chicken mac n cheese. No complaints here about the food at all. The drinks were also very satisfying.

Me and my husband came here for our first time. We celebrated our anniversary here. The food was very good!, the restaurant was nice. We really enjoyed our server Bryce. My only issue is that you have to seat yourself and they don’t take reservations! I would also recommend giving a complimentary dessert or something for special occasions such as birthdays & anniversary.! That would have been a nice gesture. However we plan on coming back in the future.

Very interesting restaurant. Our server, Isabella, was lovely. We started with the scallops and soul chicken bites. The orange flavor in the scallops came through nicely in this Asian-inspired dish. Personally, I think the soul app lacked depth and relied too much on the sweet and sour sauce. The steak was under-cooked but I’d rather under than over-cooked. The chimichurri that accompanied the steak was delicious and the zucchini side was so flavorful and probably my favorite part of the entire meal. We also got the Mousse and cherry cheesecake which were good. Kau seems to be serving up steaks in a relaxed manner. The seat yourself, laid back uniform, and steel table tops bring the caliber of the vibe to a more casual level while still aiming to serve high-quality dishes. I will say, I think the mark was missed a bit with the apps and the steak not being cooked properly obviously isn’t ideal, but the idea and vibe is very neat. It’d be nice to see them step the food up a notch and add an espresso machine.

I ordered the mashed potatoes with short ribs and a side of fries. The short ribs needed a little bit more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were good. The fries were good also. My friend ordered the collard green dip and I kept eating her chips that came with it. The chips were so good I could eat them alone. She also ordered the lamb chops they were over seasoned. It was kind of hard to eat. Other than that I enjoyed sitting outside. The waitress was nice and polite.

Very disappointing after hearing so many good things. The collard green dip was very good. However, my mother and I ordered the meatloaf dinner and we both could not eat it because it was so dry. The mashed potatoes did not taste great either. The bottom of my mashed potatoes were hard like it had not been cooked all the way. The green beans were just okay. Honestly, I think Texas Roadhouse mashed potatoes and green beans taste so much better than Kau’s. I also thought for the price of the food there would have been complimentary bread on the table. We were celebrating 2 birthdays at our table and there was no recognition of that as well. Their menu states they will not remake meals unless there was an error in preparation. We did not feel like we could say anything but would have thought the waitress would have noticed that neither one of us ate our meal.
