This was my first experience dining at a restaurant of this caliber, and I found it to be exceptional. The service was outstanding, the food was superb, and the ambiance was delightful. We enjoyed the 14-ounce dry-aged steak, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, garlic spinach, and roasted potatoes. My companion added a lobster tail to his steak, and the accompanying butter was particularly noteworthy. The oyster Rockefeller was also excellent. The thoughtful touch of providing warm, rosemary-infused towels was appreciated. The live jazz music enhanced the dining experience. In summary, this is a truly exceptional establishment, and I look forward to returning. Valet parking is available for a $7 fee, payable either directly to the attendant or added to the bill. A dress code is in effect; however, the hostess confirmed that jeans without holes are acceptable. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is remarkable.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We had a wonderful time! The host and our server were excellent. All of our questions were answered and our server’s recommendations were on point! We had the Ahi Tuna Tar Tar which was super refreshing and yummy. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and super tender. The place is a bit pricey but we didn’t mind. They had cozy lighting and played jazz music! Unfortunately, I did forget my credit card but they held on to it for me and called me asap which I appreciated. Parking is a bit tricky as you’d have to find street parking or use their valet service which was $7 like we did - to save ourselves the trouble. Overall, it was great and we will be coming back!

So far, the finest dining experience I've had in the Hampton Roads region. The staff is extremely well coordinated and educated in their craft. My wife and I had our anniversary here and everyone helped make it a night to remember.

Had a great experience. We were served by the maitre d as the house was quite busy. He was wonderful. The ribeye with foie gras and the filet were quite good and the cocktails were fantastic. Dessert was also top notch- we had the flourless chocolate cake.

Pricey but good steak and service. Pretty amazing steaks and wine list but the sides and other non-meat options were lacking in flavor. Excellent staff that makes you feel well taken care of.

My husband and I recently ate at Byrd & Baldwin Steakhouse in Norfolk Virginia for my birthday meal. The appetizers that we had are roasted bone marrow (comes with capers lemon zest radish arugula) and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella (comes with sundried tomatoes olives olive oil). My husband had the Duck Two Ways meal (which comes with confit duck leg rosemary potatoes and some type of haricot verts and cherry agrodolce) with a salad that had some bacon and blue cheese pieces and blue cheese dressing that he enjoyed. I chose the 12 ounce ribeye (delish ribeye that was very melt in mouth type of moist) with shecrab soup and lobster mac and cheese. Both my husband and I found our food delish and the employees handling our food orders were highly professional and polite. It was tempting to get dessert afterwards however I was too stuffed metaphorically like a pinata from all of the scrumptious food that we gorged on.

This restaurant was on point. The staff, the food, the drinks. Server recommendations were perfect pairings, and the wine list is diverse. I had the tomahawk wagyu steak Oscar style, just ask your server for more details, and a glass of red French wine. Our appetizer was the bone marrow which was rich and came with a bed of arugula to enhance the flavor.
