Upmarket steakhouse with patio seating & a banquet room offers prime cuts, seafood & comfort sides.
Customer Review Summary
One Thirty Five Prime is highly recommended for its exceptional ribeye and Marsala mushroom sauce. The decor is upscale, and the service is attentive yet friendly. Prices are on the higher side, with quality food like Certified Akaushi filet and delicious sides but some reviewers noted inconsistencies in execution. The restaurant offers a classy main dining area, but the annex seating is less appealing. Overall, the atmosphere is pleasant for celebrations, though some dishes may fall short of expectations relative to pricing. The extensive drink and wine menu is well received. Service is generally praised, but some diners reported experiences that didn't match previous visits, especially during celebrations.

I wish I was in Texas longer so I could come back here. This was the best ribeye I’ve had in years - I HIGHLY recommend their Marsala mushroom sauce. We got there at opening, so we were able to walk in and be seated. They have the main floor, bar seating, outdoor seating, a private dining room, and a larger separate event room. The waitstaff here wear white button-downs and black ties, so it’s recommended that you dress up at least a little.

Fine dining in a strip mall. Go figure. Once you enter you'll be surprised. The decor is upscale steakhouse all the way. The service is in keeping with the high-end atmosphere. Attentive but never pushed and formal but friendly. Our waiter was professional and informative and a great attitude. A Certified Akaushi 8oz filet is $68 and well.worth it and cooked perfectly. We shared scalloped potatoes and cream spinach sides which were also delicious easily enough for two. For dessert I ordered their "signature" Creme Brulee. Nice crunch on top and great flavor. So there you have it. If you are in the Waco area and aren't afraid to pay for a great meal One Thirty Five is your spot. Thank you for a fine meal.

We took a party of eight here to celebrate graduation recently. Graduation evening is hard to get reservations, and 135 had seating in their “annex”, so we knew we weren’t getting the main restaurant. This isn’t a knock on the restaurant, because they opened up more tables for hungry families, but the annex seating is functional at best. The main restaurant is classy and well appointed, while the annex is for office parties. The food here is good; nothing we had was bad. But none of it was the best version of what we have eaten before. We had steak, pasta, chicken and fish and enjoyed it all. Unfortunately the prices mirror some of the finest restaurants in larger cities, and this didn’t meet those expectations. The pasta sauce had broken, the steak medallions were strangely sliced and cooked, and the chocolate cake tasted like it had been in the chiller for quite a while. None of it “bad”, just slight misses. Our waiter was attentive and did a good job of making recommendations. It was especially admirable given that he was fifty yards from the main kitchen. If you want a nicer dinner in Waco, there aren’t many restaurants that are better than 135. Just don’t expect too much.

Four of us enjoyed an early dinner. The hostess was friendly as was our server. Attentive without being intrusive. Our food, all of us had filets, was cooked to order. Excellent flavor. Lobster risotto, lobster Mac and mashed potatoes were delicious. We did have an issue with one item but our server handled it without it becoming a hassle. Excellent service recovery. The wine and cocktail list is extensive. The wines by the glass give you plenty of options as well. We've dined here a few times and won't hesitate to return in the future when in the area.

Two hours of sublime chef creations in a romantic setting with quiet, beautiful music, excellent waiter. New cocktails have been added to the already great menu. The escargot with bruschetta is the best appetizer ever!!! We always order it! The variety of homemade bread is divine. My favorite dinner course was the homemade pasta with braised short ribs. Every item on the Valentine menu was delicious. We love the weekly Chef Specials!!

The restaurant was clean and looked amazing. I was taken here by bosses for holiday dinner and the food is not my type but was very presentable. The waiter was amazing and explained everything to us. He was patient and attentive. 5 stars for the service. If you're into high quality food then this is the place for you.

Cheeseboard was freaking amazing. Such a good mix of cheeses! Meats and fruits were incredible. Excellent drink and wine menu! Prime rib was excellent. Soft, juicy and excellent flavor! Steak was so flavorful and good! Peach cobbler was Cue in ratatouille flashback scene. Warm, cold, sweet, spice, crunchy all amazing. Crème brûlée was so delicious

After two previous experiences, our annual birthday celebration was highly disappointing. The quality of food did not meet the $225 dinner for two price tag. The steak was dry and overcooked and sides were subpar. Our check was brought out before the dessert (that came with the Chateaubriand for two ) took significantly longer than usual. It was noted in the reservation and to our waitress at the beginning of dinner that we were celebrating a birthday. In our previous experience a happy birthday dessert was brought out and with this experience dessert was served as a normal dessert.
