The 1 and only issue we had was my sister said there were 2 of us and for reasons unknown, she assumed the people who came in behind us were with us. The waitress once told there were 2 of us put the extra menus and silverware away. It wasn't loud, but it wasn't quite as it was pretty busy. The waitress we did get was awesome. She wasn't a nuisance always up under you, nor was she inattentive. She was perfect. Always ready to offer refills. I was a little weary of trying to hamburger steak as unlike the picture, which was taken after I made it how I wanted. It comes with grilled onions layered on top. With ketchup, I didn't taste any of the onions. The Mac and cheese I was not a fan of. It was too Gooey. Sticking to the roof of your mouth and nothing else, type Gooey. It was way too much for my taste. The mashed potatoes were said to be garlic, but it's so mild you don't even know it's there. The rolls were given before the meal after you ordered. My sister loved the Sweet Potato Fries. My sister had the grilled tilapia and I tried a bite it was way too slimy for me. She admitted it was and that fish isn't normally slimy like that. Otherwise, it was an excellent meal. If we ever go back to Waco again, this will definitely be the place to eat. We had planned on breakfast, but by the time we got there, it was lunchtime.

George’s Restaurant Bar & Catering is a great spot to watch sports, have a beer, and get some grub. The chicken tenders and fries were great and the sides are really good. The place was quite busy which makes sense for college football Saturdays. The shrimp wrapped in bacon kept coming by and I’ll be ordering that next time.

We came here for dinner and let me tell you, the atmosphere was unparalleled. I was very impressed with the vibe and the unique place that this is. The chicken fried steak is fantastic and the drinks are large! They have great prices, nice staff, and so many TVs for sports. I would definitely recommend this for someone who wants a unique Waco place to eat.

We stopped on the way to Austin on a whim and were really glad we did. Our server was Anna and she greeted is quickly and got our order right away. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Broccoli and grilled chicken baked potato. Both were fantastic and came out pretty fast. We'll definitely have to try George's on our next trip down 35!

We went there on a Thursday night and had around 15 minutes of wait time. The server was nice. We ordered their fried mushroom for appetizer. It was very crunchy from the outside and soft inside. The portion is pretty good. It came it with ranch. Then we ordered their chicken fried steak and mixed fajita plate. We ordered 8oz steak and it was huge! 4oz would be more than enough I believe. The fajita plate was good too. But next time I would order beef fajita only because the beef was so good! We took their onion rings on top of the fajita and obviously couldn’t finish it. Oh, forgot to mention about their bread and butter that was served before the entree. The bread is very good as well. Super soft and very tasty. I would recommend trying their food if you’re in the area.
