I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm in Midland, TX. We decided to try the steak and scallops, and both were cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared a rich and creamy creme brulee. 😋 Every single bite was absolutely delicious! Beyond the incredible food, the service we received was top-notch. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area! "For expert Service, ask for Arlie!" #MidlandTX #Foodie #SteakNight #AskForArlie

Ordered the $195 Japanese A5 Filet and the 12oz Australian ribeye, both medium rare. The filet was rare and the ribeye was medium well. Since they were premium steaks, they were a la carte. Ordered 4 sides, lobster mac and cheese, asparagus, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. The lobster mac was great, the others weren’t any better than Texas Roadhouse. Also ordered the scallops, those were good. And for an appetizer we had the fried calamari and shrimp which was also good. The drinks were on par with chain restaurants, nothing special. For dessert, got the crème brûlée which had very little crusty on top and was disappointing. The staff, lobster mac, scallops, and appetizer were the star of the show. Will not be returning.

Arrogant chef refuses to stop serving steaks on 500 deg F plates. My potatoes were bubbling and my steak went from medium rare to well done losing all juices over a 10 minute period. The plate continued to cook the food and it remained too hot to eat. This may be ok for a thick cut, but not a 16oz ribeye.

My husband and I had dinner at The Palms to celebrate his birthday last night and the entire experience was an absolute 11 out of 10 all the way around! We made a reservation, and the hosts had a table all set and ready for us. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and just made us feel so welcomed. My husband had a ribeye with a (HUGE!) baked potato and the lobster mac and cheese. I don't even eat beef but had to try a bite of his steak - it had a crisp crust on the outside and was so buttery and flavorful... it has me questioning my beef-less life now lol. We also had the seafood tower as an appetizer/my entree. I usually pass on anything marked "MP" on a menu, but knowing my love for seafood, my husband asked Sarah for the details. It wasn't cheap, but I really felt like it was priced more than fair after hearing everything that came with it. And when it came out... HOLY SMOKES. I don't think I've ever seen lobster tails that big. The oysters were heaven. The shrimp were so big, you had to eat them in two bites. The king crab leg had enough meat to be a meal in itself. In addition to all of that, there's an entire sushi roll! The presentation is super fun, but I won't ruin the surprise :) I can't get over how incredible the flavor and quality of everything was. No way was I leaving any of that behind lol, so I came home with almost a full take-out box of what we couldn't finish! And of course we had to know if the desserts were as incredible as everything else, so we went for the beignets. Sarah made them even sweeter by bringing them out with a candle for my birthday boy :) The Palms is definitely our new go-to for a fancy special occasion dinner!

My husband and I both ordered 16 oz ribeyes. Mine was prime his was the Australian waygu, we ordered both of them medium rare. About 35 minutes after ordering, his came out blue and mine came out medium/medium well and our server didn’t ask when she brought them if they were correct which I would expect at a steakhouse. Both the broccoli and the mashed potatoes were cafeteria quality, neither seasoned at all. The Lobster Mac and service were both pretty underwhelming. The best thing we had was the Calamari and shrimp appetizer, which was wonderful and well seasoned so clearly the seasonings are in the kitchen. Overall, we will choose other fine dining options with higher caliber cooking and better service like Venezia for our next date night, as this experience just did not live up to its hype. Hopefully, they will refine and improve and work out the kinks, and be worth trying again sometime in the distant future.

This is definitely THE best fine dining place in Midland. We went last night and I have nothing negative to say. The food and service were incredible. My husband ordered the kobe filet and it literally melted in our mouths. I had the surf and turf and loved every bite. The cocktails and desserts ended the night perfectly. I highly recommend this place over any other high end place in Midland.

We shared our 18th anniversary at the Palm and it was such a great experience. Finally an exceptional steak can be found in Midland. We both shared the 16oz prime ribeye and it was amazing. The garlic sautéed spinach, steak fries, mashed, and calamari/shrimp were fantastic! Abigail was our server and she did a great job! Very attentive and made great food recommendations. If you are looking for an elegant date night idea, the Palm should be your go to. Definitely recommend it!

The only reason I will leave this 4 stars, is because of Abigail, our server. I normally drive from Midland to San Angelo to have a steak. Closest place to get a decent steak is at the Angry Cactus in San Angelo. Food here is mediocre, the appetizer was the best part. The calamari and shrimp where best I've had in a long time. I'm not downplaying the food, for anybody who doesn't eat steak all the time, you will enjoy this. However, the only reason I will return, is because of the customer service. My wife and I had a wonderful date night. Abigail made everything perfect. It's been a long time since I've seen customer service like this. If you do decide to eat here, all I ask, or recommend, ask for Abigail. She made me and my wife repeat customers. It's all about customer service.
