Customer Review Summary
Riscky's Steakhouse offers a delightful comfort food experience, especially praised for its chicken fried steak, which is tender and well-breaded, with creamy gravy and classic sides. However, experiences can vary; some diners noted issues with service and food preparation, such as overcooked shrimp and mistakes in orders. The restaurant boasts generous portions at reasonable prices, with a fun and unique decor reminiscent of the wild west, enhancing the dining atmosphere. While many enjoyed their meals, a few felt the service could improve, especially on busy days, and some guests found the prices a bit high for the quality. Overall, it's recommended for those seeking Southern comfort food in an enjoyable setting.

At Riscky’s Steak House, the chicken fried steak is a delightful comfort food experience. The dish features a generously sized, tender piece of beef, perfectly breaded and fried to a golden crisp. The rich, creamy gravy adds a luscious touch that complements the savory flavors of the steak. Served with classic sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, it’s a hearty meal that satisfies. The ambiance of the restaurant enhances the overall experience, making it a fantastic spot for a casual yet fulfilling dining outing. Highly recommended for those craving a taste of Southern comfort!

An OK experience. Like a lot of places, the wait staff is on autopilot; because of the wife's throat cancer, she can't do ice and no matter how we ask they com back with ice in the glass. I had the chicken fried steak which I wasn't hungry enough for as it was huge and good. The wife had the shrimp escargot and was disappointed, the shrimp were overcooked & tough and the cheese topping was chewy. Our drinks were good and the service was average. Like any place, it all comes down to the whether your individual expectations were met, and in this case, mostly 🤷♂️

Great place for food! Generous portion and very good price. The decor is awesome too. We had the soup and salad combo, hamburger with fries, and the kids had the grilled cheese ($5!), and the ribs ($8!) kids meal. You'll want to check out the different decor they have throughout the restaurant. Definitely recommended!

Look let me tell you that this restaurant is Great just a few issues that I had with it when I visited it recently. It was packed enough that we had a 1 hour wait to get in which wasn't an issue. What I ordered the Ribeye with steak fries was served on a plate plain looking and the fries were dry. I also asked for sautéed mushrooms to be added but what I got can be described as mushroom soup. As far a the service well our party of 3 had mistakes made with our order. On my order after the waitress went down the list of the soups of the day I asked for Broccoli cheese but, what I got was potato soup. I ate it and it was very Flavorful. I had a Coronarita that was Very Good. The restaurant is large with a Bar offering many drink choices. Look I've been to alot of steakhouses in Ft. Worth that serve Ribeyes swimming in butter or with sautéed onions something then just put on a plate very plain. I asked for medium well and I got that but I was disappointed especially for the price.

One has got to visit this place when visiting Fort Worth. Best onion rings i ever had and very good burgers. Good location and nice to sit outside.

Atmosphere was great. Cool ambiance for someone like me being from out of town. Very impressed with the blackened tilapia! The portion size was huge and the sauce with it was delicious! The steaks we ordered, ribeye and top sirloin, were nicely cooked, tender and juicy. Not pictured were our side salads which leave the plates looking a little empty. Unfortunately the shrimp stuffed jalapeño poppers left us a little wanting. I had a different idea in my head so the presentation was a little disappointing. Picture shown eaten 3/5, not the full order. Had a newer server so things moved a little slow, but the manager helped them out. We weren’t in any hurry so it wasn’t a bother.

Service was great. Loved his recommendations. Food was good. It wouldn’t knock my socks off but I’d eat here again.

Worth going here for the decor (and Stockyards) alone! But thankfully the food holds its own. Real downhome southern cooking making you feel like you're really in the wild west in 1865! It's so fun. Yummy yet classy. We couldn't get enough of the decor. What fun to dine in what looked like a wild west movie set. The bathrooms on the other hand. Yikes! It's like they were also from the 1860s! Not in age but in size. So tiny! Hardly room for two people in the ladies even though there were two stalls. But it didn't matter cuz everything else was so great. The place was insanely busy and we had a bit of a wait. Again, worth it. It was a crazy hot day but we were able to wait inside. Because it was so busy the poor service staff were run off their feet (I'd imagine it is like this daily). So we never felt anyone was particularly friendly, but that may have just been due to busyness. They all did their job like a well-oiled machine. The menu is very pricey. I'm not sure the food was worth quite those prices, but if you take into consideration the setting, then you're good. Portions were very generous.
