This was a quaint steakhouse in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. There was a small town feel that was evident between the patrons and staff. The staff were incredibly friendly and the live music was amazing- the atmosphere and staff made this a place worth visiting. The food was not as great- the quality was lacking and didn’t appear to match the descriptions on the menu. The filet was described as prime beef, but was incredibly gristly. The caprese salad listed basil, but had a basil pesto- no basil- the pesto and balsamic were delicious, but the rest of the ingredients were poor quality.

My husband and I stumbled across the restaurant after walking around for a bit downtown. The server was amazing and the food was delicious. Best tomato basil soup we have had.

One of the best Filets I’ve ever had. The food, atmosphere and staff were all exceptional!!!! All of us truly enjoyed our dinner. A couple of us had the dinner specials (lobster ravioli, salmon, filet and scallops and loved everything. Mike was our waiter and he was THE BEST!!! Can’t wait to go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!

Absolutely incredible service! My wife and I took our friends out to celebrate a recent wedding and two birthdays. The experience was everything you could ask for from a high-end restaurant. The general manager was professional and kind, the waiters were attentive, and the food was prepared to perfection. At the end of the night the owner of the restaurant came down and introduced himself to the group and we got to talk for just a bit. Later that night my wife said it was like we were treated like royalty and I agree. This restaurant has heart and it goes far beyond five stars. We will definitely be back

Stepping inside this restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mike and his fellow staff are highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials served daily. They provided excellent recommendations along with their friendly and professional demeanor that makes you feel like family. We ordered the Escargot, Chilean Sea bass & Swordfish, paired with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The chef's attention to plating and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients are evident in every dish. If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Our first visit to Mercury Chophouse in Ft Worth was on Valentine's. The restaurant was busy but the wait staff did not miss a step. The food & service were excellent. Save room for dessert!! The only thing they could have improved on was the music, it would have been nice to have someone at the piano on such a romantic evening.

Went to Mercury Chophouse Downtown Fort Worth, 525 Taylor Street for a surprise Thanksgiving (2024) dinner, 4pm. It was the worst experience and meal ever! We walked in an were not immediately greeted. The owner was sitting at the bar, politely arose from his seat to sit us at table. The restaurant was empty. A server eventually came over to the table to bring us menus, but never came back until the owner told her to get over to the table. She did come over to get drinks sweet tea and wine. when I got a tea refill, I told her the tea was not sweet, she wanted to argue and said it was, but it wasn't. Not ok. Another server came over to tell us the specials and take our order. Now for the food part and a $200.00 bill! The Filet Mignon was under cooked, bleeding on the plate. It was supposed to be medium well, it was medium rare and tough and chewy! I tried to eat it and to attempt to have an enjoyable meal without sending the steak back, i just couldn't. Steak was sent back, butterflied and burnt. They did not charge for the undercooked, then burnt steak. We also got the Salmon and scallops. The scallops we chewy and gummy. When this was explained to the owner, he said jokingly "I will fire the chef", no apology! He just whisked the steak away. So much for a Thanksgiving Surprise. I was surprised alright.

Loved it!! When we walked in, I was unsure if they were open. It was quiet. Very little noise. Atmosphere is a little dark, once seated, it was comfortable. Our waiter, was a mind reader. While sharing the specials and discussing the menu, he seemed to read my mind. We both started with a salad and some bread. The magic happened when the meals came out. The lamb was seared perfectly and cooked to medium. Was delightful. Eagerly awaiting our next trip.
