About Chop House Burger - steak house in Fort Worth, Texas
Customer Review Summary
Chop House Burger is described as a hidden gem in downtown Fort Worth. The Chop House Burger, along with sweet potato fries and the Italian Nut Job shake, has received rave reviews for its taste. Portions are hefty, leading to diners not finishing their meals, with plans to return for outdoor seating in warmer weather. Some unique offerings like truffle fries and a casual atmosphere were mentioned, though a strange smell affected the dining experience for one reviewer. The quality of the burgers, including options like the wine country burger and grilled cheese for kids, has impressed many guests. Counter service and a clean environment contribute to its appeal, especially during quieter times. However, some customers found the pricing high for portion sizes, and there were complaints about missing condiments and overpowering flavors. Overall, the food is often described as delicious, making it a worthwhile choice despite the higher price point compared to fast food.

Talk about a hidden gem. I'm not in downtown Fort Worth often, but there are moments. Serving jury duty is how I stumbled upon this mouthwatering spot. These burgers are something serious. Being a first time visitor I opted for the Chop House Burger and an order of sweet potato fries. I also ordered the Italian Nut Job shake. OMG! That's a winner right there. The servings are a hefty size so I didn't finish a smidge of my burger. I have every intention to return so I can sit on the patio during the warmer days.

Truffle friesssss!!! All in all, this place is a wonderful hole in the wall. Unless you are looking for it, it'll be a bit hard to see, but when you find it, it'll be worth it! The food came out perfect, my burger was not undercooked as you may think in the photo, the lighting made the pic more red. Great food, even better service! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere due to a strange smell in the restaurant while we were there.

Came down to Fort Worth from the NYC area and my boyfriend wanted to try this burger place for dinner. I wasn’t very hungry and normally don’t finish a whole burger when I go out. I ended up eating the entire thing, all the sides it was SO GOOD. I got the wine country burger and we also had fries and fried pickles on the side. The burger was out of this world on flavor and I loved their style of fried pickles (lightly breaded, great seasoning, spicy ranch). Team was friendly and atmosphere was quiet and clean. Will definitely be back someday!

Really great place to eat. My son was obsessed with the grilled cheese and fries. I had the Chop House burger. It was definitely worth getting. Veggies were fresh but the star of it was the beef and bun combo they have. Amazing flavor and crisp edges of the brioche buns was the cherry on top. Thanks!

Somewhere between fast food and a sit-down restaurant is Chop House. Counter service with a casual dining area and a lovely outdoor patio located just around the corner from Sundance Square. Their FW Burger Week offering was pretty tasty and would have benefited from a cold Shiner Bock but at $5/bottle I had to pass.

1st time and burger was great. Potato fries were good, not the best I've had but still good. Monday night at 630pm was a great time to go. Parking was easy as was the 2 block walk.

We did not dine in, so I can not give a review for their atmosphere. However, the food was mildly appealing. The fries only came in one size, and the price was too high for that small of an amount. We asked for honey mustard and did not receive it. We only got ranch, and it was a small amount. The truffle sauce was overpowering on my wife's burger. The fries were not supposed to include two ingredients, and one of them was on it. Honestly, for the experience, we had a two star rating, which would be more adequate.

Burger is delicious, fries are delicious, and the shake is spectacular! It’s definitely not a cheap burger place. For a burger with fries and drink I’d expect to spend about $20. But I’d also say it’s worth it over whatever typical fast food meal you’d get for your 10-12 dollars.
