About Bob's Steak & Chop House - steak house in Fort Worth, Texas
Texas-born chain serving big slabs of beef, seafood & a large wine list in a classy atmosphere.
Customer Review Summary
Bob's Steak & Chop House is praised for its excellent steak offerings and courteous staff. The restaurant is noted for its late hours and accommodating service, even close to closing time. Food quality is consistently high, with standout dishes like the New York Strip and Rack of Lamb. Portions are generous, and sides are included with entrees, making it a better value compared to other steakhouses. The atmosphere is dark and lively, which can make conversation challenging at times. Service is frequently highlighted, with specific staff members receiving commendations for their attentiveness and professionalism. Cocktails, appetizers, and desserts are also well-reviewed, contributing to a positive dining experience. However, a single negative review details a serious issue with billing and unresponsive management, impacting overall trust in the establishment. Despite this, many customers express a desire to return and recommend the restaurant for both casual dining and special occasions.

Great steak house and one of the few restaurants in the area that is open later on the weekday, 9:00 PM. The staff is very courteous, we didn't know that they were closing at 9 but we got seated and they still served us even though we got there 15 minutes before closing. They didn't force or kick us out either, when we left there was still a couple of parties left. The food and service is wonderful and prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, they sold out of the Tomahawk but they had plenty of backup options. New York Strip 14oz - comes with a Bob's carrot and a side. I got the loaded baked potato and it was pretty big! The carrot is their speciality and has a slightly maple/sweet taste to it which was delightful. Rack of Lamb - comes in a rack of 6, the sides are cut off to get the best presentation and meat on the lamb. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Portions are huge and unlike some other steakhouses the side comes with the dish. No need to spend another $15 for a side. The bread was also decent, it could be denser and the crust could be a little thicker but it was still freshly made and warm. The butter was salty and went perfectly with the warm bread. They also have this pickle jar that you can fish stuff out of. I'm not a huge fan of pickles but if you are you'd love it.

I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We've never been here before, so we were excited, and they did not disappoint. Food: The ribeye was excellent. Seasoned well, cooked right, and very juicy. The glazed carrots had a hint of cinnamon in it, which I was not too fond to, but it wasn't any kind of deal breaker. Atmosphere: I was hoping for a relatively quiet dinner that evening, and it started out that way. As the evening progressed, it did get life, which made it a challenge to hear each other. Also, I love the dark atmosphere, but reading the menu was a challenge. If I could suggest some table light, that would be great. Oh, and bring your glasses too...lol. Service: The service from Brandon was stellar. He was personable, attentive, and funny. He was instrumental in providing a memorable experience for us that evening. The service from the other support staff was great as well. Sometimes, I didn't even notice they were there. Overall, this was a great experience and definitely is worth going back to on a later day.

We had a business meeting here Friday night and it was a wonderful meal. Great craft cocktails, particularly the bacon infused old fashioned. We got calamari and shrimp cocktail for appetizers, both of which were delicious. I also got a Caesar salad that was fantastic. I also had a lobster bisque. It was good, but different than I’m used to. It wasn’t bad but I probably wouldn’t get it again. For my entree I got the Wagyu Filet and lobster tail. I will say I’ve had better Wagyu, but if I had to guess it was Texas/American Wagyu, and still very good to be clear. The lobster was quite delicious as was my baked potato. I would easily recommend for a business meeting or date night.

We got a business group together here for an event. We had around 20 or so people come. The food and service was all great, which is generally expected with a pre-fixed menu setting, but I wanted to take a minute to give a huge shout out to Zenia who helped us put the event together. I have worked with quite a few coordinators and Zenia was by far the best and easiest to work with. She answered all of our questions timely and worked along with us to create the best dinner setting possible. Our event was a huge hit and everyone was talking about the great dinner the following day. This was largely thanks to Zenia's planning and preparations.

It pains me to give this place a 1 star because the food and hospitality was great. Unfortunately, the double charged my card a ridiculous amount of money and had 0 remorse. I called to speak with the manager, people make mistakes I get it but how you fix it is important and Brian said he will call me back to sort it all out but he didn’t. I called back and he didn’t even have the decency to get on the phone, he had the host tell me that he would call me back the next day. Very unprofessional and clearly had no empathy. To make matters worst, the charge on my card does not match the amount it should have and the itemized memo was even different. REALLY SKETCHY!!! I’m sure if he were in this position he would want someone to at least act like they care. As great as the food was,, I would not recommend this place simply because if they make any mistakes in the future, I can’t say they will handle it the right way! If you made a mistake I should not have to chase you with phone calls for you to make it right… truly disappointed!!!!

We had great food and excellent service. Matthew was our server, and he was really attentive to our table and to our questions. The food was incredible. We were honored to have Brian, the General Manager, come by to check on us.

Went to a private party and it was really nice. The service was excellent and they anticipated our every need. The room was very nice and definitely would love to dine their again. The food was very good and my favorite was the bruleed creamed corn. My only hesitation on giving 5 stars was the plating. I felt it was a little sloppy. Otherwise a wonderful dining experience.
