McEwen's offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and an appealing menu featuring daily specials. Diners rave about the exceptional food, particularly the Osso Buco and the today's special grilled fish, noting that dishes are well-seasoned and flavorful. Service is often highlighted as attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the dining experience. It is my first time at McEwen’s, and the attendees and waiters were really approachable, and I love how they feature their today’s special menu which is grilled fish with blue cheese mashed potatoes and sautéed Brussels sprouts. As a newbie, I tried their today’s special dish. I absolutely loved this dish! Every component in that dish was well seasoned and balanced! I cannot wait to visit this restaurant again to try other dishes!

I recently dined at McEwen’s in Memphis, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was crafted with great attention to detail and full of rich flavors. The menu offers a fantastic variety, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, McEwen’s is a must-try for anyone looking for a great meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was nice and the presentation was beautiful, but man oh man, the food wasn’t great. I’m so sad to be so disappointed. The chicken was dry and I’m not sure why the risotto was bland and not exciting. I liked the spinach. But hey, if it’s going to be like that, just take that entree off the menu. There was also this small squiggly piece of metal or wire in my food. I initially thought it was a piece of bone and set it aside. Not trying to get anyone in trouble. I genuinely want to see the place do better, but it might be a long time before I’m convinced to go back there. My friend’s pork and grits entree seemed impressive and the duck confit enchiladas were pretty good.

We had the brussels sprouts small plate as an appetizer. I love brussels sprouts, and these were just ok. The Osso Buco with cheese grits and spicy collard greens was phenomenal! Others ordered the sea bass and beef tenderloin. The Osso Buco was the best by far. The bread pudding with apple dessert had a good flavor, and it would have been better with more sauce. Regarding the service, there’s a fine line between attentive and annoying. Our experience felt perfunctory and rushed. I would give it another chance just for the Osso Buco and hope the service finds its sweet spot.

Food exceptional. Drinks delicious. Service top notch by Paula and everyone else. We left stuffed and satisfied. Pork fell off the bone. Crab cakes were tasty. Even the biscuits were delicious.

Thank you, Mr. Parks, for being so kind, welcoming, and informative. This meal was the whiskey soaked cherry on top of a lovely vacation. We enjoyed the specials of the evening. Will return.

I had a wonderful dinner here with 7 other adults + a toddler! The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. I cannot eat gluten and our waiter was able to advise me on what I could and could not have, as well as informed the kitchen staff. The redfish was delicious and I highly recommend! The food and drinks arrived promptly.

Thomas waited on us tonight. He was spectacular! He recommended the Creole Spiced Braised Pork Osso Buco. It was brought back to the menu tonight and it was amazing. My wife’s Sweet Potato Crusted Catfish was also delicious. It’s obvious why McEwen’s is a top choice in Memphis. Top tier dining without the top tier price. Thank you Thomas for a memorable experience.
