Customer Review Summary

Capriccio Grill provides a delightful dining experience with spectacular food and phenomenal service. Many guests praised the quality of dishes like the Filet, seafood risotto, and brunch options, highlighting excellent seasoning and flavor, especially in the gnocchi with braised short rib. However, some reviews note it may not be worth the price point due to inconsistencies in portion sizes and the quality of certain dishes, like the sweet potato casserole. The ambiance received mixed reviews; while some found it warm and inviting, others noted issues like bright lighting and lack of a dress code. Cleanliness and service efficiency were criticized in one experience, where the atmosphere was marred by unclean dining conditions and inattentive staff. Despite these issues, many patrons expressed a desire to return, recommending the restaurant for its warm service, inviting atmosphere, and overall positive dining experience.

Wonderful experience overall! Food was spectacular, and the service was phenomenal. We had the Stairway to Crisp Heaven, the Sebass, a Filet, Champagne Risotto, and the Tiramisu and Mississippi mud pie. . . The Filet was one of, if not THE best I've ever had. . . The portions were great, and everything was next to perfect. . . A couple of small things. The light was a little bright and could've had more of a romantic feel. . . I sort of wish there were a little more of a dress code. . . I know that's hard to do, but sitting next to a couple of guys in dirty jeans with dip cups wasn't great. . . They also need to update their menu pricing. . . Not a huge deal, but the dessert prices were not the same on the menu as they were on the bill. . . Loved it though and will be back!

A delicious place to eat. My boyfriend and I had brunch at this place and we love d the food. The attention of the staff is very warm and they help you choose if you have questions by making recommendations. The chef’s seasoning is excellent, the confit potatoes are incredible, another level of flavor. Without a doubt I highly recommend this place.

Very delicious food. Not exactly worth the price point, perhaps because in part this restaurant is in and a part of the Peabody hotel, but if you're looking to splurge and want an italian-american upscale dining experience in the hotel, this can be worth a trip. The seafood risotto was very buttery and creamy, however actual seafood protein portion in it was lacking. The gnocchi with braised short rib was also very rich; they let the umami-beef flavor shine in that dish. Balance of beef to gnocchi was good. The Entrees we had were well seasoned, I might say very slightly on the edge of salty. The bread and butter board appetizer item is a very good pick. The pretzels and bread loaf it came with were served warm. Highly recommend the truffle butter and smoked honey butter (the Smokey flavor was barely noticeable and not too much). Do not recommend the sweet potato casserole thing; was expecting a mash-like glazed yams type of flavor with the hit of the pecan crust they put on top, but the actual side dish had a strange aftertaste to it.

Recently tried the three course brunch at Capriccio grill and our server was extremely attentive. The food was delicious, and the price was definitely worth it.

I recently visited Capriccio Grill at the Peabody Hotel for a Mother's Day dinner, and I must say, the experience was disappointing. At $80 per person, one would expect attentive service and pristine dining conditions, but this was not the case. Despite the dining area being largely empty when we arrived at 5 PM, the self-serve soup and salad station was unclean, and the table, though clean, was surrounded by gnats. The gnats were also at the dining table. Additionally, the cups and silverware were dirty, necessitating a request for replacements. Service was minimal and inefficient, with our waiter only appearing at our table four times over the course of an hour and a half. The food itself was a letdown—served cold, lacking in flavor, and the portions were frustratingly small: precisely five green beans, one carrot, and a spoonful of potatoes. One of the dishes was even served 15 minutes late. Given the price and the prestige of the Peabody Hotel, one would expect much better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend dining at Capriccio Grill based on this experience.

Went here with my friends for my birthday. Did the brunch and our server was very attentive. Food was really yummy as well. The $$$ was definitely worth it. Valet parking was included in the special.

**Capriccio Grill at the Peabody Hotel, Memphis - A Delightful Dining Experience** Dining at the Capriccio Grill located in the Peabody Hotel in Memphis was an absolute pleasure. The impeccable service was a standout feature, with the staff always available when needed, offering assistance with a friendly demeanor and even providing some light-hearted chuckles that added a personal touch to the meal. I opted for the ham and cheese omelet, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The omelet was fluffy and generously filled with savory ham and melted cheese, making for a satisfying breakfast. My friend chose the vegetarian hash, which was equally delightful. Topped with a beautiful edible flower, the dish was not only visually appealing but also packed with fresh, flavorful vegetables. The combination of top-notch service, friendly and engaging staff, and delicious food makes Capriccio Grill a must-visit dining spot in Memphis. Whether you're staying at the Peabody Hotel or just looking for a great meal, this restaurant offers a memorable experience that I highly recommend. I look forward to returning and trying more of their enticing menu options.

It was his birthday and so we got us a treat here. It was Saturday and we got the earliest available time 12:15 for brunch. We arrived on time, and parked our car in a parking garage, right opposite to it. They might have their own valet service as well. On arrival they treated us well and got us the table which was already arranged. We started with water- and then I got some coffee while he got the tea. The tea was pretty usual, where as the coffee was quite good. They served a whole pot (French press) of coffee. With this there was freshly baked biscuit. The biscuits were house baked, glazed on top and quite big in size. They have a several stuff to serve with it. I opted for strawberry preserve and he got some lemon curd. Both were great, and we enjoyed our biscuits. Our server was quite charming and got us the food we choose. For the first course I opted for the ham and bread ( they have some fancy name for it though), and he got the bagel with smoked salmon. The ham was savoury, and a little hard. It was great altogether with the bread and a hint of mustard ( or something? ) with a side of cantaloupe. Overall, it was quite fancy. Moving on in the second course, I asked for the chicken and waffle, while he got shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits was very hearty and comfy meal altogether. It was quite filling with cheesy grits and shrimps on top.honestly, waffle and chicken was a total flop I would say. It was very basic. The waffle was just like what you get in waffle house. The three boneless chicken fries also could be way more better. They were crunchy from outside, and moist inside. However, they were very sour in taste. What did they put? Too much vinegar or something? Whatever, they need to work on it. Finally, the show stoppers arrived - desserts. They have some three tiered trays with three different pastries. All bite sized- and decent in taste. I liked the chocolate ganache tart most. It was more like what you get in whole foods, nothing extraordinary! Overall, it was nice however, ample room for betterment was there. Overall, the food was pretty decent, and flamboyant. But there is some x factor missing which we expected in upscale place like this. Nevertheless, I recommend it. 46$ per head is too reasonable for such a fare. I will return surely.
