It had been 9 years since our last Primavista visit, and I can report that nothing has changed. That's a good thing! The view of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is spectacular (especially at night). The food was great: I particularly enjoyed the pesto chicken which was bursting with flavor. Service by Aubrey was just perfect.

Comprehensive review. I came here for a valentines dinner and to start out parking was very difficult. Valet is not free so that’s never a good start to an experience. I give them the benefit of the doubt because they are located in an apartment complex building. Entering the place was nothing short of beautiful. You enter a beautiful door and are led to the coat check which is the first thing u see. The lobby is comfy and cozy. You can tell it’s a historically well kept facility. I arrive 30 minutes early and they sat me about 15 minutes into waiting. I was brought to my table which was not prepared so we had to make a trip back to the lobby temporarily. Hostess was completely apologetic so no big issue there. After sitting down and taking in the views it’s easily the best view you’ll find in Cincinnati. Completely romantic and such a gem. After about 10 minutes our waiter finally approached us. Way too long for service at a high end restaurant. She was very nice and great at communicating, though her knowledge of dishes and the menu were slim. For drinks, my diet coke was one of the best I’ve had and my date got a cocktail which she enjoyed thoroughly. The bread was just okay. Was very dry and you could tell was just heated up basic white bread. Garlic clovers were a great addition but could’ve been hotter and more easy to spread. For starters we got the Caesar salad, cold, crunchy, and immaculate flavor, it was a 10/10. Fried calamari which was also amazing though it could’ve had more big pieces rather than just little fried remnants. The star of the appetizers was the bruschetta. They have a unique way of making it here and I will say it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Goat cheese with honey drizzle you cannot beat it. Would come back just for this. For the mains I got the gnocchi and shrimp. The shrimp had a weird fishy taste to it but it wasn’t too overwhelming. I enjoyed it but not too much. Portion was way too small. My date ordered the Chicken Formaggio. This dish was unique. It kind of had a sweet aspect to it, as it was different. It wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad. Same as the gnocchi was. Price wise everything was super reasonable. Overall, if I came back I would be open to trying other entrees. But I would only be confident in their appetizers and drinks. I enjoyed the dinner and the views, but I could’ve enjoyed the main dishes more. Dessert also looked like a stronghold of theirs which I did not try. My date and I had a great time other than the few critics.

Where to begin lol the waiting staff were REMARKABLE, the food was IMMACULATE, and the view of the city?? SO BEAUTIFUL. For a fine dining restaurant, I felt the prices were still on the cheaper side, but the quality was TOP NOTCH. Would highly recommend coming here at least once in your life, it's well worth it!!

We had our Valentine's dinner here. This place is known for the view (they even point all chairs at all tables to face the view which is really nice), and I'm sure it's a great view, but when you make reservations far in advance and the weather obscures the entire view (as it did on our night), the restaurant has to stand for itself. The dessert, appetizer, and wine were amazing. However, the cocktails were small and not very strong; we had two very different ones and weren't really happy with either. The entrees, for ~$35, left us both disappointed. Mine (Shrimp Gnocchi) tasted great but it literally had 10 or fewer pieces of Gnocchi; pasta is cheap and the sauce and Gnocchi that was there was great, they should have added much more. My girlfriend got the Chicken Gnocchi, and she had a good amount and it also tasted good, but the chicken itself did not taste very noteworthy; it was very plain. The service at the table was great, although the hostess ignored me. They were out of hand sanitizer at the entrance, I told them about it, and they ensured they'd fix it. When I left over an hour later, they still didn't. At this price point they should be paying attention to details, especially when I tell them about it and it concerns hygiene. I ultimately enjoyed my experience but would not come back; for $150+ for two people + valet, I'm confident I could do better and just enjoy the view for free next door at the park.

Excellent food and service. Not one item was not super flavorful and delicious. Second birthday here and again blown away. Went antipasto and was delighted! Almond pesto ravioli and a pizza with steamed mussels. Love this place.

Highly disappointed! Saturday, after Valentine's day, only dinner reservation time available was at 4 pm, so we took it. The view that evening was obscured by fog, but we were otherwise happy and looking forward to our dinner. They were not full but we were delayed 5 minutes before being seated. As we were enjoying cocktails, which were small and not very strong, we were rushed by our server to "get the show on the road" and order as "they had a busy evening." We were dumbfounded! Not only did we not have the view, but now we were being pushed out the door before 20 minutes of time had passed! While we did place our order, it was scaled back from our original intent to order the special entrees. In hindsight, we wished we had helped the restaurant along with "check please!" and made a quick exit. The highlight of our evening was the delightful young lady who served our water. It was a pleasure to give her a generous tip that our server forfeited. In reading other online reviews, we learned that Primavista has a history of bad behavior. This restaurant has declined in what we used to enjoy as a fine dining experience.
