Customer Review Summary
Tony D's is highly praised for its incredible staff, service, and food. The pistachio cake is a standout dessert that many customers are eager to get. Patrons find the restaurant significantly better than their previous location at Corn Hill Landing, enjoying great cocktails and Sicilian-style pizza. Lunch options impress with quality and generous portions, especially the greens and beans with sausage and various sandwiches. However, the atmosphere can be quite loud, reminiscent of cafeteria noise, and some diners find service to be overly quick. Food and service quality remain excellent despite the noise, encouraging return visits. Diners recommend the Penne with spicy vodka sauce, veal with broccoli and artichokes, and emphasize attentive service. Some experiences include issues with service, particularly regarding bread availability and the preparation of fries, which impacted one customer's overall satisfaction. Overall, Tony D's is considered a must-visit for great Italian food in Rochester.

Always love Tony Ds! Incredible staff, service, and food. Shout out to miss Kitty for my favorite dessert in all of the land.. the pistachio cake!!! I’ve literally called ahead before and begged them to save a serving for me when coming in that night because it always sells out! Deff worth trying!

This is a much better restaurant than their corn hill landing location! Went here for dinner because we were in the area, and honestly wasn’t really that excited to go because of past experiences at their old location. Well I was pleasantly surprised! Their cocktails were great, food was awesome - I very much appreciated the Sicilian style pizza over the Neapolitan style. The service was wonderful and the vibe inside was very nice. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend it here for anyone looking for a good Italian spot.

Had lunch at Tony D’s and it was very good was not expecting incredible sandwiches in both quality and quantity! The greens and beans with sausage is to die for. Had the meatball sandwich with an amazing roll with a hot pepper place in between the cheese and sauce. The eggplant sandwich was delicious and huge and stacked with eggplant. Can’t forget the homemade french fries.. Tony D’ is a must stop in Rochester.

We visited for the very first time and expected a very quiet ambient atmosphere. What we found was extremely loud, what we both would consider as similar to cafeteria noise ( video attached) . I think they can benefit from some noise canceling material on the ceiling and or walls. Service was extremely quick, almost too quick for the type of dining experience we thought we were getting. From time of arrival to departure was less than 1 hour. We ordered calamari, baked clams and one of the specialty pizzas. Per other high-end dining experiences, we set aside 2 hours. (Based on noise level we chose to order all apps) Food was incredible, service was fantastic. Despite the noisy atmosphere, we would likely return based on how good the food and service were.

Went to dinner here last night and it was so good! I got the Penne with spicy vodka sauce. While it was not spicy at all in my opinion, it was still honestly the best vodka sauce I have ever had. The flavor was so rich it honestly didn’t need the spice. I also got a glass of Pinot Grigio and it was ice cold and fresh. The atmosphere was also very nice, would be a great place for a date night or dinner out with friends. Overall great restaurant, would absolutely recommend if you love Italian food.

This place was amazing!! I ordered the veal with broccoli and artichoke with the lemon and sherry, it was perfection!! My taste buds were dancing! Our waiter Mike was very attentive and delivered everything to our table in a timely manner. Our son was also welcome and he is two years old, they were very accommodating. We only waited about twenty minutes or so, it wasn’t that bad and it was ridiculous busy. This place is awesome and I will be coming back for sure.

Second time here! We went out again for dinner a few nights ago. When we were seated, the waiter let us know that they don't have any bread to offer. While unfortunate, I already knew what I wanted so I ordered the calamari to start. When we started to order, the waiter didn't seem interested in offering good service until I ordered my favorite, the off menu ny strip steak. Suddenly, he told me he was going to check on the bread and was friendlier than before my order. The steak was cooked perfectly, salad was great but the fries were very undercooked. I didn't see my waiter till we were just about done so I ordered a beer and told him about the fries. He said he was going to see what he can do; but after bringing me the beer and later the check. Nothing was done until I asked what was to be done about the 1/3 of my meal that I couldn't eat. He took off the $6 beer and left. I tipped in case they split it. Not sure if the assumption that I wouldn't tip was the cause of the initial service, but tipping potential shouldn't be the catalyst of good service

I had the day's catch, it was Norwegian Salmon over clams and it was wonderful. Our server was entertaining as well as helpful, and the space is uniquely decorated with plenty of seating.
