I have been to G&G Westside for steak sandwiches however when I was in Florida, I saw a picture of their breakfast and I got so excited because the food looked so pretty when I arrived at the airport my husband picked me up and the first thing I said was hello honey we gotta go to G&G's downtown for breakfast. I showed him the picture from Facebook and two days later we were able to go. I loved the decor, the atmosphere the music and above all the staff that greets you so warmly they made our food and there was not a long wait. I am not a fish eater however, my husband ordered fish and grits and it looked so good that I had to taste some and I thought it was delicious and I am fish sensitive, however, for those that like fish, you will enjoy it along with smooth grits. My eggs were fluffy, and the bacon is nice and crunchy. They have lots of beverages to choose from.

Top notch service. Nice location. And the steak sandwiches are *excellent*. I've been by here many times now, and they recently started doing breakfast.. More than once Mr. G himself has been in there working when I've grabbed my food. I will be a continued customer. If you work downtown this is a place to checkout on main st for sure. 🔥🔥

I rarely if ever review food establishments but my first trip to G&G was too good not to. Easy contender for best steak sandwich in the city with fresh ingredients, solid portions, and reasonable prices. Still, the best part of the experience was the incredibly friendly staff. Really enjoyed this place and looking forward to making it a regular spot in my downtown rotation.

(Sigh🤦🏾‍♂️) This one "hurts". As an OG G&G customer I visited and was welcomed with the familiar warmth and comfort I remember.... The conversation with the staff and sitting in the dining room waiting for my food to be prepared was great... All I can see is potential. Then I got home with my order and was shocked. Now, It's my fault.... I should have asked. But never the less..... "I Assumed". And I made an "ass" of myself. I had assumed that the Mandela burger I ordered was a meal. I didn't think twice about my "ordering" due to being caught up in the nostalgia of a "Black" burger spot from my childhood. I assumed for $17 there would be some fries.... The burger was delicious, although frozen still cooked and seasoned as well as the steak toppings. I still went somewhere else to "be full" & get a drink. It's disappointing, due to the tough times our Rochester community is going through either financial or lacking inspiration ..... I don't think repeat business will be maintained. It's truly too bad. I wish y'all the best of luck.

A great addition to downtown options. Food is outstanding, service is friendly and engaging, bright and inviting atmosphere! Once people realize it's here, it's going to be packed everyday.

I just left there this morning after leaving the barber shop, I have been telling Mr. Gause that I will stop in I finally got the chance to, I had the shrimp and grits it was really good, Mr. Gause and his team got it looking really comfortable and cozy, best of luck to the G&G Team!

I've enjoyed G&G's food for years..... But I must say, that sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich I devoured this morning was EVERYTHING! I can't wait to return for the shrimp & grits 😁

Forgot to take a picture but the food was definitely on point. They didn't have what I originally order but they were definitely made up for it in service. Everything was fresh and hot.
