Visited another Texas Roadhouse location. This location is one of the closer locations to Cape cod. Conveniently located off the highway. Restaurant was busy. Waited 20minutes for a table. Server was excellent. Food was great. Steak was cooked to perfection and that bowl of chilli was as good as they come. This is one of the very successful chains today.

To begin, I’ve never had a bad steak at Texas Roadhouse until tonight. Make that two bad dinners. I ALWAYS order medium rare and it’s always good. This first picture was tonight’s - RAW. THAT IS NOT MEDIUM RARE! The second pic was from two years ago and it was maybe one of the best steaks I’ve ever had including high end steakhouses. Perfect. I noticed in the case on the way in the marbling in the steaks wasn’t very good but fine, they usually do a good job. Waitress said “warm red center ok?” and I said “Yes” because I’ve never had an issue. My girlfriend ordered the Dallas filet med well and it was the other extreme - dry, burned, and tasteless. Awful. That is the third picture here. The worst part is the waitress almost wanted to argue sort of. Just looking at it says NOT COOKED RIGHT. She says “Is the center cool or warm?” It was like room temp. Not warm. Not cool. BUT MAINLY IT WAS NOT MEDIUM RARE. So it goes back with “I’ll tell them it’s not the way you wanted it…” NO! IT IS NOT COOKED AT ALL! People at another party behind us - same thing. Undercooked. It’s like they have the heat too high or the steaks are too close to the heat source. Outside is singed but the inside mushy and nearly raw. I’ve never had an issue but after this, I’ll stick with Longhorn for chain steakhouses. This was chewy and tasteless. Just a bad meal. Very disappointing. Also, stop with the blaring loud music. It’s ridiculous.

Very disappointed to say the least. Husband and I came in tonight for steaks to celebrate our anniversary and mine was a complete miss. I ordered the 8oz filet, and the first one that came out was full of fat wherever you cut into it. No biggie, it happens. They put a new one on the grill for me and my husband ate his prime rib alone. Annoying but whatever. Second steak comes out, no longer fatty, but was rare instead of medium rare. The manager brought it out to our table (Mind you my husband had already finished eating by now) and didn’t even wait for me to cut into it before disappearing again. The only saving grace of the evening was our fantastic waitress Janiah. She asked how my replacement steak was and I showed her where I had cut into it and she confirmed that yes, it was rare, not medium rare. Told us she was going to ask her manager to comp the steak. Turns out the manager thought screwing up my meal twice only warranted $15 off the entree. Bizarre. Won’t be returning to this restaurant any time soon.

She hustled the entire time to provide superb service. We started with hot buttered rolls, followed by house salads that were fresh and crispy. My six ounce sirloin was cooked just the way I like and the baked potato had plenty of butter and sour cream. My wife enjoyed her grilled shrimp. It was an excellent lunch.

Thanks to our wonderful waitress for a great night. The food was amazing. My only complaint would be of the music being a little too loud but we were also under a speaker. Overall we had an amazing time.
