Market basket gave me a bad customer service experience rude non existent manners etc. what a difference buying here. Rare items? In stock. Homemade sausage and desserts? Fresh in stock. Wines, port, seafood salted cod herbs meat steaks ribs fish stuffies. Went in for a Christmas goose came out arms piled with extra goodies. Went back in and thanked the staff for turning my holiday food shopping experience from bad to good. Now I know where to go. You should too. Wonderful.

This year I tried ordering a skin on, bone in pork butt roast (pernil) from markets or butcher shops all over Cape Cod with no luck. I called The Butcher Shop and not only they were very friendly over the phone, they didn't even bat an eye or had to call back after checking with a distributor. I could get it anytime within a day or two. The roast was fresh from the farm and WOW it was the best ever!!! and I've been making them every year for Thanksgiving the last ten years. I haven't tried anything else but next time I'm in New Bedford I will definitely stop by!

If you are looking for the most amazing meat around… Look no further! The butcher shop is really fabulous!!! They will grind fresh hamburger for you. I love the grass fed hamburger for my family. It taste amazing on the barbecue. Their filet mignon is beyond delicious . The best part is they are, so helpful and fun! I would give them 100 stars

Been coming here for years and everything I’ve ever bought has been high quality and fairly priced. Good meat and fine Portuguese wines. This family does business the old way. They remember you, they make good recommendations, they’re honest with you. Recently I bought 20 raw pre-made quarter pounders from them and the product/packaging was done with such care that I decided it was finally time to give them a 5-star review. Great price and they were, I kid you not, the freshest, tastiest burgers I ever grilled. My friends were going out of their way to thank me
