Lovely little restaurant with good food! Selection isn’t too large but enough for a small group of hungry first-time visitors to New Bedford. It’s close to all the attractions too; a bonus!

Quaint little Tavern in Downtown New Bedford. It was my first time here. The food was great, the service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was fitting for the establishment. We got Quahogs and chicken wings, and they were very tasty. It was not busy when we went only 2 other groups that were there. Service was pleasant and quick. There was available seating indoors and outdoors. Cute place overall. I would definitely recommend going if you haven't checked it out yet!

We stopped for lunch on a sunny Friday afternoon in March on our way to Woods Hole. Amazing lobster rolls. We chose the medium-sized ones. Brioche rolls slit on the top, with some crisp lettuce, were filled with lobster meat and accompanied by little cups of melted butter, pickle slices and our sides of hand-cut fries and cole slaw. Heavenly. Joe was happy to find the light Buzzards Bay Golden Flounder (on tap) was a perfect match for the food.

We stopped in for lunch. Service was great. We liked the outdoor seating. Food was good but needed some seasoning. A little salt, pepper, and hot sauce made it great.

I stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. Very homey atmosphere. There is limited seating. I sat at the bar and had the half-pound lobster roll, which was $42 that day. It was clean and tasty; it came cold but not overly dressed and slathered in mayo (I'm not sure whether there was any dressing at all actually, which I was fine with). The fries on the side hit the spot too. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. I would recommend stopping in for a bite and some brews; I certainly wouldn't hesitate to do so when I am back in town.

Highly Recommend! We were visiting the Whaling Museum from out of town and stopped in. Nice cozy stop in the historic district. The food was great and service excellent. I forgot my card there and did not discover it until I was two hours away in Connecticut. Called the restaurant and they confirmed they had it and offered to mail it to me. Which they did and I am so thankful! Very happy to recommend a place like this with good people!

Had Quahog Republic the other day. A little dissapointed to hear that they were out of stuffed quahogs on the day. It's literally in the name and the one item on the menu that you can't be out of. They were also not serving pizza. To me that was 2 strikes. Had the clam chowder and it was okay. Had the fish sandwich and it was also just okay. Bun was a little overdone and the fish didnt taste that fresh. Kid had chicken ceasar salad and thought the chicken was a little undercooked. Strike three.

Super packed! We got lucky with three bar seats. This was the Moby Dick reading weekend. No reservations (as per policy), so we got lucky. Really good food! I had a delicious quahog, some fries, and a sandwich.
