First time trying Smitty’s tonight, and we will be back! Our server was excellent, kept our waters topped off, and answered our questions. We received our appetizer and food in a timely manner. The food was DELICIOUS! We first shared an appetizer of the garlic cheese bread. Then I ordered the manicotti and my partner got a burger. This place was busy, but service never slipped and the atmosphere made for a fun date night.

WOW!!! This was our first time here. My son and I had an hour to grab dinner before a meeting. We were seated quickly, and I informed our waitress of our time constraints. We ordered a house salad, Ceasars salad, bruschetta, mozzarella and marinara, veal parmigiana and a sirloin. All of the food was wonderful. I can be picky sometimes, but I would definitely recommend any of the food we had. And the service our waitress provided, I believe her name was Celeste, was top notch. Even with our time constraints, she was very accommodating, getting us out on time, without sacrificing food or service quality, and without feeling rushed. Overall great dining experience. I will definitely be back when I'm in town.

I had the chicken parm with spagetti as my side. It was a large portion and very delicious with lots of flavor. My husband had the chicken vesuvio. His meal had a healthy portion as well.

I would not recommend this restaurant as I was very disappointed in the service and the food was mediocre. The kitchen was out of rigatoni pasta on a Tuesday night, which is interesting because they are closed on Monday. I have not been this unhappy with a restaurant in a very long time.

Not exactly what I thought it was going to be. The food was okay and over priced for what you get plus the quality of it. I wouldn't say I'd go there again but it definitely could have been better. I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Born and raised in Evansville and planning a party (for 50-60 people) while living in California can be difficult. However, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Smitty's Italian Steakhouse on Franklin St. on the Westside of Evansville if you are considering a large group gathering. They were AMAZING in coordinating my Mom's Surprise 60th Birthday Party. Katie and their Chef were extremely communicative throughout the entire process and ensured that we felt ready to show up on the day of for a successful event. Everyone raved about the food bar, and having the private room and private bar was very convenient. If you are considering hosting a gathering (future office Xmas parties or bday parties), give them a shout and ask for Katie! She'll hook you up!

Our Waitress was Christina, and she was awesome. The food was fabulous, the marinara sauce, salad dressing and the wing sauce were all made from scratch. The steaks were medium and boy did they melt in your mouth!

Feelings are mixed here. Building is beautiful, drinks and bartender are top-notch, and steaks are great. Wait staff is ok and sides and other entrees okay to downright terrible. The special quartered potatoes were some of the blandest/worst things I've never eaten (yes I meant never - one bite and to the trash).
