Rafferty's Restaurant & Bar

For my appetizer, I got the loaded cheese fries, and for my entrée I got the chicken tender platter with a loaded baked potato! 🥔  2nd order decided to go with the Buffalo mac & cheese for his appetizer and a barbecue burger with fries for his entrée. Our initial impressions of this restaurant were that it was very, very nice on the inside, the food quality and quantity was great. Both of us were really impressed with how good the food tasted, and how much food you got! Although as optimistic and positive as I try to be sometimes there are negatives when you’re giving a review to a place. We waited probably a solid hour for our entrées, even though everyone around us was already eating And mine came out wrong. It was pretty disappointing on that side of things, but it’s definitely a restaurant that I will be back to and I think you should try it out as well!

First time we have been there. The service was excellent. The manager was very friendly and helping out even cleaning tables to help the busy waitress.

We went on Jan 12, and from the start as soon as we sat down the waitress was super slow! Took her 20 min to come and take our order. We got the appetizer before the drinks. Our food was slow getting out to us and i ordered a chicken finger salad without tomatoes and was given to me with tomatoes! We are usually very happy with the food and service but not this time unfortunately!. She must have been new because we’d never seen her before and we go about once a month.

The service was excellent. I don't usually have much luck with their dinner menu, but the lunch menu has lots of options that sounded good. My club sandwich came with one side, so I got a baked potato and I ended up with enough food for 3-4 meals. We enjoyed our visit and our meals were really good, had large portions and were fairly priced.

The food was delicious! The service was okay. Our waitress was overwhelmed with tables to serve. We had a party of 5 and she did her best to up. You can’t beat great tasting food, which you will have at this restaurant. Just pack your patience!

I was there with 4 female friends for lunch. I ordered a chef salad. My salad came out, I poured my salad dressing and proceeded to stir up my salad. Forked my salad and saw a hair that looked about 2.5” long in my. I contacted our waitress and show her. She said, she would get me another salad. In the mean time all my friends already have finished their lunch and I’m still waiting on my salad to come out the 2nd round. No apology nor a manager came out to talk to me, as if nothing ever happened! This used to be my favorite restaurant in Evansville and we often go there once a month, but not anymore!

They were very friendly towards me when I walked through the doors. I dine in by myself and got tremendous service, and food was delicious and warm. I ordered the chicken fettuccine. They didn't try to rush me out and make me feel like a number to them. Waitress showed tremendous hospitality.

Fast and friendly service. Love sitting in the bar area. Phenomenal french dip and buffalo fingers! Only complaint is the stacks and stacks of dirty dishes in patron view in bar. UPDATE 2023 My husband and I stopped in for lunch. The server was very kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and OMGSH! Not only were they some of the best fried mushrooms I've had, they would have been fine as my meal! Huge, deliciously battered, and the horseradish-mustard sauce was delicious, even though they are wonderful by themselves. I ordered the blackened salmon (cooked medium), Caesar salad, and green beans. Hubby ordered a full rack of ribs and a loaded baked potato. First picture of my salmon wasn't even blackened and it was cooked to a well-done dry!!! I sent it back (can't go to Rafferty's without getting your food re-fired. It's a constant.) However, the manager was very quick to resolve the problem. When I received it again, it was delightfully blackened and juicy, but the middle was raw! I just took it home and cooked it myself lol. The green beans were ok and the caeser salad was very good. Now, my husband's order... He refuses to send food back if he doesn't like it. He's not at all like me! LOL. His ribs were dry, no smoke flavor, and just doused in bbq sauce! He said it's as if they used 2 day old ribs and just sauced them to death to hide the dry & chewy meat. My husband has 2 smokers and loves to smoke/grill meats, so I know he wasn't kidding. I doubt we'll be back anytime soon, but if you go & you love fried mushrooms, look no further!
