I was not expecting the level of service and food from this hotel steak house. Everyone from the hostess to food runners were amazing. Our table ordered at least 15 different dishes and everyone i tried was superb. This is one of those places where I’d absolutely recommend going to regardless of if you’re staying at the Langham Pasadena or not. It’s a must try if you’re in the area.

I have been to over 24 Michelin stars restaurants in the last 2 years in Hong Kong, Japan, London, Lyon & Bordeaux and I am happy to let you know Roy’s is phenomenal! Not only is the cuisine divine, but the service and ambience are amazing in every detail!! We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was important that this is a memorable evening for us. The manager, a young man from Provenance definitely delivered! He offered to us some incredible wine & champagne that was phenomenal! a vintage champagne name Rare and a bottle of wine from Saint Emilion in which there was only 2 in his cellar! How did he know we just came back from Bordeaux in November? The Beluga caviars was delicious and the truffle A5 Wagyu beef melts in your mouth like the one we ate in Japan May 2024… if you want an special evening to celebrate that important occasion, be sure to ask for Alan so that he can made sure it will be a lovely evening you will never forget!! By the way, our waiter Ben was just awesome!

We experienced more downs than ups during the meal. The ambiance was nice. Most of the staff were kind. However, some foods were below the bar and our server was unresponsive. The grass-fed ribeye was okay but the New York wagyu was juicy. The server recommended the octopus appetizer, but it was almost too salty to eat. And we had to wait for at least 20 minutes so that the server could return it to the kitchen. The server brought another scallop appetizer, then he never came back to the table until the very end. One of the scallops had a crack from the center, but we were too tired to comain. We waited for another 20-plus minutes so that another server came to ask whether we were finished and brought the dessert. Then we found the manager brought the check, and our server suddenly returned with another check! Both checks still had the returned appetizer on them! It took us over 2 hours to finish a 3-course meal, and half of the time was just waiting, waiting, and waiting. This is such a unique place but we unfortunately could not recommend it.

Beautiful setting for a meal with bucolic views and plush white sofa seats. Good steak collection but somewhat offset by too much creamy and saucy experimentation with vegetables. Fish tasted marinated in salt.

The restaurant is located inside the Langham. We were here for my birthday dinner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped with moving around our reservation. Server was very attentive and recommended some of the best food on the menu. Their vegetarian menu was very limited. We ordered the beet salad, pan seared salmon and the brownie. The portion sizes are small. Bread was so fresh but unfortunately they ran out of it very quickly. Lavender lemonade is something I would definitely go back for. Excellent atmosphere and fantastic experience. One to cherish for!

Had dinner here today. The staff is exceptional, starting with the valet to the waitresses to the random people walking around who ask if you need help. The grounds are very nice. The food was excellent. It is pricey but combined with the service and ambiance, probably worth it. Risotto was okay and the most expensive thing we ordered somehow so maybe consider another veggie option. Everything else was great. We got the beet salad, carrot sides, salmon, and bread pudding for dessert.
