The Capital Grille Los Angeles is an awesome restaurant. The service is exceptional top to bottom. They know how to make you feel like a welcome customer. The chopped wedge salad was delicious. It had thick pieces of bacon made the salad so tasty. I also got one of the Chef recommendations, the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence. The filet was perfectly cooked and had an excellent sweet taste. I always like coming here, even though it is expensive, it is a one of my favorite steak houses. I never leave thinking the meal was not worth the price. I will definitely be back again.

Elegant dining experience with a modern-city flair. The food is superb. Flavorful steaks with delicious side offerings. The only surprise was the method of how the steaks came delivered to the table. Contrary to other steakhouses I have been to, this establishment does not bring the steak on a hot-sizzling plate. Nevertheless, the steak is on point and hits the mark. Many appetizers to choose from. The seafood-oyster-escargot platter was treat but definitely would only suggest for a larger party as it is plenty of sampling. The wine pair offerings were ample but as you would expect at an establishment like this the prices are three to four times average price. This establishment only allows up to two bottles to bring with (plus corkage). Thus for larger parties be prepared to pay hefty for the extra wine bottles you may need to supplement. The decor throughout the grille was nice. Several larger art pieces and other wall decor adds to the ambience of the downtown grille. If you bring a large party the room provided to you is not as private as you imagine as it is housed right next to the bar and only separated by a curtain. The other side of the grille is much more quieter. Staff was nice and welcoming. Our server was kind and can hold a conversation upon any topic that was discussed at our party. Enjoyed my first time experience. Recommend for date night, etc.

I recently visited The Capital Grille and had a deeply disappointing—and frankly disturbing—experience. I ordered a medium rare steak, but what was served was far from that standard. The beef was not only severely undercooked, bordering on raw, but it also had a slimy texture and an unsettling greenish tint that made it immediately unappetizing. The bacon served alongside was equally off-putting; it looked as though it had been left out for days, with a greasy, discolored appearance that only compounded my concerns about food safety. Worse yet, I ended up feeling sick for five days after my meal, which only confirmed my fears that something was seriously amiss in the kitchen. In light of this experience, I strongly advise others to reconsider dining here—food quality and safety should never be compromised, and my experience suggests that these standards are not being met at The Capital Grille.

The atmosphere was upscale yet welcoming, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend the dry-aged steaks—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wine selection was impressive, and the sides were delicious, especially the creamy mashed potatoes.

I feel as if the service was very pleasant however upon receiving my food I was dissatisfied. I paid $70 for the scallop plate only to see it is something I could have cooked at home for $20 or less. The atmosphere is also rather pleasant however it’s not immaculate for the price they charge of every item. Not a bad experience but nor an incredible one.

Great food. We stopped in for a drink after an LA Sparks game, and was not disappointed. A last minute decision to order food at the bar was well worth the price. We ordered Lamb Chops (split museum well), lobster Mac and cheese, clam chowder, and oysters in a half shell. The lamb chops were cooked very well. The crust they place is the highlight in my opinion. Very well seasoned and arranged well. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. It could have had a bit more lobster, but it was still a good dish. Just add a little pepper and You're good to go. Clam chowder and oysters were very delicious, not much more to say. The bar staff is extremely friendly. The service alone is worth coming back for. The ambiance was very nice, no Loud music, sports on the television, just an overall good vibe. Overall, great experience at this location, I'd definitely revisit.

My partner and I have visited this wonderful restaurant twice now, and on both occasions the food and service have been beyond exceptional. Our first visit was last month for my birthday. We were originally due to go to another restaurant but were recommended by friends to go to the Capital Grille instead We are so happy that we took their advice. From the moment we stepped through the door, the whole evening was just wonderful. We were looked after by the lovely Stephanie. She was absolutely incredible. Her service was impeccable and she has the most lovely manner. She really loves her job and this certainly shines through. A birthday note along with some table decorations were laid out for our arrival. A lovely and welcoming touch. The interior and ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and the food was absolutely outstanding and thoughtfully presented. My partner is actually vegetarian and ordered a selection of sides along with the French onion soup which she said is the best she has ever tasted. We were also offered some 'off menu' vegetarian options which was amazing considering this is predominantly a steak house. The evening was topped off by a wonderful birthday desert and a chat with the manager, Lismarie, who wanted to say “hi” and check we enjoyed our evening. How many managers do that! Due to such a memorable evening, we popped in last week on a whim. We hoped to see Stephanie again but she was taking care of a private dining party. She did take the time to talk to us though and left us in the hands of her lovely colleague Alie whose service style, again, was incredible. Alie was amazing and also offered a selection of 'off menu' vegetarian options. My partner had a tasty vegetarian pasta dish and I had the salmon. It was so full of flavour and cooked to perfection by the wonderful and talented chef, Laura. We got to meet chef Laura at the end of the evening which was a lovely experience. The whole team are like a family who all work together to create this amazing restaurant. We really cannot speak highly enough of this fabulous restaurant and would definitely recommend a visit. As well as the beautiful dining area there is a very inviting bar which is very popular. Ps. The onion bread and the creme brûlée are out of this world! Thank you to all the team at the Capital Grille Downtown and we look forward to our next visit ☺️

We booked a private room for a corporate event during a conference in LA. It was fantastic. All of the members were happy with their food and wine choices. The service was excellent and Liz went above and beyond in helping secure a personal bottle of wine for me to take home. They were even able to accommodate a vegetarian dish which was excellent. Liz and the staff at the Capital Grille LA are wonderful! Excellent service and atmosphere.
