Many reviews highlight the outstanding steak options, particularly the Chef's Cut New York strip and Ribeye, praised for their perfect cooking and flavor. The shrimp cocktail received high marks for its freshness, while the Warm Butter Cake and cocktails were favorites among diners. Service is a mixed bag; while some experienced attentive and friendly staff, others noted unpleasantness from their servers. Great steakhouse with a classy vibe. We dined at Mastro's in Beverly Hills after it was recommended by our friends. We were able to make last-minute reservations, and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. We ordered the bread basket for the table and they brought out a fine variety of warm bread that we couldn't stop eating. We decided to share the Chef's Cut New York strip. I thought it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were also very good (and a huge portion that can be shared between 3 or 4 people). Our waiter and the staff was very courteous. We ordered dessert after their closing time, and they didn't rush us at all even though we felt bad for staying late. Speaking of dessert, the Warm Butter Cake was really good. The restaurant was expensive, but that was anticipated since it's a nice steakhouse located right in Beverly Hills. A lot of people were celebrating their birthdays there and it looked like the perfect restaurant for a celebration.

Shrimp cocktail 10/10. They were perfectly plump, fresh, and appropriately priced. The horseradish and cocktail sauce are exquisite. The lobster was also fantastic. Perfectly prepared, pricey, but given the location, fairly priced. The sides were underwhelming. The mac n cheese was oily, separated, and flavorless. The garlic mashed potatoes were very average as well. You get large portions on the sides, but the quality just isn’t there for a restaurant of this caliber. I did enjoy the mojito. It was fresh and strong. The key lime pie was delectable but their “famous” butter cake was very average. I also don’t understand why they serve a heaping bowl of whipped cream with their desserts. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable. No complaints there. The atmosphere is Beverly Hills people that are upper echelon or surely think they are upper echelon. Depending on your opinion of such people, you may either enjoy or detest such company. All that said, I would return for the shrimp cocktail and a mojito.

Love this place. One of my favorites. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. Love their Martinis - they are huge. You literally get 2. Staff are always so nice and helpful. Butter cake is amazing. Highly recommend.

My first time here was 2017. The dazzling blue light at entrance got me high. Then I sang the song with the live band, I still remembered the song was ‘can’t take my eyes off you.’ It was a fun night. Then second time, we ordered the most expensive wine, great night. It is not about what you eat, it is more important who you are with, and the vibe is like catalyst that boosts your feeling from your all normal days. Highly suggest Mastro Beverly Hills. Sophisticated.

My friend and I recently dined at the Penthouse at Mastro’s in Beverly Hills and had a mostly enjoyable experience, though there were a few downsides that keep this review at four stars. The food was delicious— 22 oz. Ribeye, Tuna Tartare and Chilean sea-bass were outstanding, and the Warm Butter Cake with ice cream was as exceptional as ever. Drinks were also on point; both the Pomegranate and Dirty martinis were excellent. However, the asparagus side was a bit underwhelming. The main issue, unfortunately, was with our server, Runzer. We arrived around 9:50 pm (we had a reservation booked for a few weeks) due to my flight landing late, and it felt like we were an inconvenience for him as his last table of the night. His demeanor was blunt and unpleasant, almost as if he didn’t feel like serving us, which soured an otherwise solid dining experience. The penthouse is located on the 3rd floor of the building, accessible by elevator. The dining room is medium-sized, with an upscale, intimate ambiance. Overall, while the food and atmosphere were great, I’ve had better service—particularly at their Washington, D.C. location, where the service was impeccable.

Very nice high end steakhouse. Honestly I have had better steaks for less. I ordered mine medium well and part of it was but part of it was medium rare also.

The bathroom was GROSS very dirty no toilet paper, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. I told the person greeting and she brushed it off. Then I ordered my steak medium well and a few others at the table as well they brought my steak bloody and theirs too then they offered to take steak back to cook and grabbed all of our steaks and put them on the same plate at that point that grossed me out thinking they mixed them up since we all had cut into our steaks with the fork we were eating on. They returned the steaks and gave me someone else's asking with the piece they had cut. For being this expensive and kocation really made me question ever going back. I spent code to 1k on food and drinks for my neither bday dinner only for this type of service. I want to give you another chance some the sides and food was good. But this location maybe not.

I was a bit hesitant to come here as I wasn’t sure if it was over hyped or not but I have to say it was the best meal I’ve had so far and we really enjoyed ourselves. We were also really well looked after and our waiter Alex was so kind and even gave us a little dessert at the end! Quality of the food and drinks was excellent. Would love to come back :)
