A wonderful dinner overall. Prime rib, Mollys salad, and bacon wrapped scallops were outstanding. I was a bit disappointed in our seat. We came early and the place was empty and they sat us by the bar. My view was of a tv with a game on which killed the date night mood I was hoping for. I will definitely return but hope we can get a more romantic table in the main dining room next time.

Overall great experience. The atmosphere was warm and classy without feeling overly fancy. We sat in the upstairs dining area which was a little smaller and more cozy. Our server, Molly, took good care of us. The food was very enjoyable overall. The prime rib was a massive, juicy cut of meat - very satisfying. If you're looking for modern, innovative cuisine this is not the place; it's classic steakhouse fare done well. We asked to see the desserts, but weren't impressed with the selection and decided to skip it. Taylor's is also very affordable as far as LA steakhouses go: two salads, a starter, two prime rib dinners and two cocktails set us back about $180 before tip.

Nice old school dining. Steaks are delicious. Sides are surprisingly affordable and tasty. Service is attentive.

What an absolute gem. Our last night in LA we decided to give this a try. We DO NOT regret our decision at all. The food was excellent, the service was phenomenal. Tony was our server and he was fantastic. The steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned extremely well. If we come back to LA, this will absolutely be a stop for us. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you for a great dinner on our last night!!

A friend and I had dinner at Taylor’s Sunday evening. The place was crowded, likely speaking to its popularity. We both had the salmon. Very large portion. I ordered the French fries. Wow! These were fresh out of the deep fry basket. Not greasy. Just delicious and so hot that I had to wait a bit before chomping into one. The service crew was running around (apparently) trying to keep up with clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and serving food. Even though this Taylor’s is the original, I prefer the La Canada location. Koreatown is reportedly the most densely populated area of Los Angeles.

Maybe we caught them on an off night. Everything was horrendous. I remember coming here a few years ago - fantastic. Now - 4 tiny pieces of scallops for $30, steaks as chewy as a piece of rubber for more than what you would pay at an all you can eat BBQ place next door. Cocktails watered down so you can’t taste the liquor. I don’t know how they can continue to get over 3 stars. No idea. Living on reputation I guess. Skip and go to a thousand other places that are better value around the block. This place is a huge pass.

I really love coming to this place. It's got an old-school vibe to it. I guess that is because it is old-school, it's been there since 1953 and the booths are spectacular. The food is delicious and the best prices you can imagine for the quality of the fare they offer and you can get a good drink from their bars. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is not a vegetarian or vegan or a pescatarian. Oh, and friendly service too.

The restaurant smells so bad. It makes absolutely no sense. Went for Valentine’s Day and my date and I were immediately caught off guard by the smell of the restaurant. The ambiance isn’t what you’d expect from a steakhouse in Los Angeles. It should go without saying that this establishment is older. But it shouldn’t feel like walking into the 1800’s when you arrive. The food was lackluster. My date and I didn’t even finish our steaks. There was absolutely no seasoning on them. (Believe the comments in the reviews. We didn’t but should have.) All in all, I wouldn’t go back. You probably should go somewhere else too. $150-$300 better spent elsewhere.
