Customer Review Summary
LaLa's Argentine Grill in Downtown Los Angeles is praised for its great food and exceptional service. Diners recommend the steak, particularly the ENTRAÑA AL AJO, and dishes like Arroz Del Camp and Ravioles de Queso, with notable mentions of the amazing chimichurri sauce. The ambiance is inviting with a strong aroma that enhances the dining experience. However, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with steak seasoning and flavor. While calamari and fried shrimp received mixed reviews, the wine selection, especially the Lala Cab, is highlighted as phenomenal. Overall, LaLa’s is recommended for its welcoming service and solid menu, though some diners express room for improvement in flavor. Parking is noted as limited, but online ordering provides a convenient solution.

We chose LaLa’s as a last minute dinner option before a show at The Orpheum. The food was great, especially the steak, but the service was what stood out. They brought us out samples, gave amazing recommendations and had the perfect amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. Highly recommend this unassuming but wonderful little gem of a restaurant!

This was our first time visiting LALA's Argentina Grill and the moment we entered the restaurant, we could smell the aroma from the kitchen. We could tell we were in for a tasty experience. The staff greeted us and escorted us to a table immediately. We were served some bread and chimichurri sauce. It was obvious why they give their customers the option to purchase the sauce to take home. It is very good! The ENTRAÑA AL AJO was well prepared and very good. Watch out! This is for meat and garlic lovers. The PENNE CON CALAMAR was also delicious. We look forward to going back!

Food was amazing, had a very enjoyable lunch after a long morning. We had the calamari to start it literally melted in our mouth. My daughter had the Ravioles De Queso (cheese ravioli)and she loved it, I had Arroz Del Camp with chicken I definitely recommend this dish it was delicious. It’s sautéed green/red bell peppers, onion, mushrooms, rice folded in a tomato sauce with Feta on top so flavorful and fresh tasting.

Lala’s has been my go to spot for over 5 years now. I have had some successful business meetings at this location. I know that they have 2 other locations but this is my favorite one to go to as well. I have build a great relationship with their staff and owners. They also have the best sangrias in LA as it’s made fresh every day. The team is also reliable in making food in an adequate time. So it doesn’t take too long. When you are picking up order you have to park on the side as the parking is limited that’s why it’s perfect you can order online before you show up and they are fast with it too. They have a strong selection of many wines if you are into that.

If you want to eat food with no flavor at all this probably be your go to place. I ordered a pasta and my gf a beef milanesa and in my case I did not enjoy it sauce had no flavor at all just basic sauce like if they just put a cat of tomato sauce on my salsa and on top they put the calamari it comes with the sauce 🤦🏻♂️. Beef milanesa same thing. The only good thing were the empanadas and still they were not the best one I tried. Server was kinda clueless or lost idk but her service was alright

I saw some great reviews on Google about this spot and I decided to check it out. I ordered their Argentine Costilla Grande, calamar frito & fried shrimp along with their Signature Cab, “Lala.” The steak was ok, it wasn’t seasoned much and I asked for medium rare and it was past that. I added salt, A1 steak sauce and it did the job. I don’t think it was worth $40 for that cut. I’ve had Argentinian steaks at other spots and for half the price. Their steak wasn’t horrible at all but for the price, I was expecting way more & it was ok. I know it’s an insult to ask for Bbq sauce at a steak house but I needed some bbq for this one. The calamari & fried shrimp were good but lacked the crisp that I’m used to. It was seasoned, juicy but it was also underwhelming. The highlight of the whole meal was the wine, their Lala Cab was phenomenal & I’ll probably get a bottle next time for home. Customer service was cool also. I’d definitely come back again and try this other menu items.

It was my first time here and Lala’s did not disappoint! I got the BIFE ENCEBOLLADO. Although it comes with one side (the portion was large) they suggested I split the sides and get two different options. The rice and mashed potatoes were amazing. The mashed potatoes weren’t grainy AT ALL. The steak was packed with flavor and cooked to my liking. There was too much garlic for my preference but it did not taint the flavor, I just removed them to the side. My boyfriend loved it here as well and he’s an extremely picky eater. We will come back!

Great customer service. We ordered the table de carnes (NY strip, skirt steak, tenderloins). The first time around, our steaks were well done (we ordered medium rare) but the manager was very nice about it and he had the order re-done. It was much better after that, for our liking. Waitstaff checked on us multiple times, also. On the side we had zucchini and fries. We also tried flan and lemon cake for dessert. If you ever find yourself downtown, this is a good spot. There's a public pay parking lot across the street on Main (cost tonight was $10). Next time, we'd like to try the ribeye.
