Customer Review Summary
The food and service at JW Steakhouse pleasantly surprised many reviewers. The breadboard and pretzels received high praise, as did the garlic butter shrimp appetizer. The lobster bisque was noted for its rich flavor, and the sea bass and scallops were both perfectly cooked. The elegant environment adds to the overall experience, and the quality of the steak is often highlighted without the need for extra seasonings. Several diners appreciated the attentive and friendly service, with specific servers mentioned for their exceptional care. Though the prices are considered high, many believe the quality justifies it, especially compared to other steakhouses. Some guests found it convenient for dining after picking up travelers at LAX, although parking costs were a common complaint. Overall, while some felt it was overpriced, the food quality, service, and enjoyable atmosphere led most to recommend the restaurant for steak enthusiasts.

We were extremely (pleasantly) surprised by the food and service at this hotel steakhouse. We started with the breadboard, the pretzels were amazing and the butter was delicious! We then had the shrimp in garlic butter appetizer, WOW that was tasty! My husband had the lobster bisque which was served with a mound of lobster in the bowl and the bisque was poured over it at the table. The broth was rich in flavor and velvety, we highly recommend. Next was my sea bass which was perfectly cooked with crispy skin and buttery flesh, my husband had the sea scallops with the olive tapenade which he raved about. We also shared the seasonal Veggie side, it was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. The kitchen is open to the dining room and we could see it was a clean and well oiled machine, it was fun to watch the team work together. Our server was Wonderful, she knew the menu and made great recommendations! Highly recommended you give it a try!

The restaurant has a very elegant environment. The steak is of excellent quality and taste. It is recommended not to add any seasonings as the pure flavor of the steak is very good.

We love coming here for dinner after picking up friends and family at LAX. The quality of the food and the service have always been superb. I'd give it 5 stars if parking wasn't so expensive. Theirs may be the most expensive parking I've ever paid anywhere else in LA for a 1.5hr dinner. It's unfortunate, but I'm going to be looking for other options in the area. FOOD: We had prime rib and filet cooked to perfection, accompanied by risotto and grilled veggies. Had French onion soup to start, also delectable. SERVICE: Willie was great! He was very friendly and attentive. He explained options with a smile on his face, didn't feel rushed, refilled waters without skipping a beat, and made sure to check up on us without interrupting. For a hotel restaurant, this steakhouse is underrated. JW's are well-known for quality dining and amenities, this is no exception! The food was excellent. However, there are better "Steakhouses" than this one but you will pay much more. The price point vs. quality is better at this JW. I spent $230 for 2, including a bottle of wine, with 2 apps, a shared porterhouse and dessert. The waiter, Antonin, was superior. He took care of all the details for us. He made our romantic dinner feel special.

For me it was a good overall experience, food was good , steak exactly medium well just as I ordered , the tequila drink I did not like , should have gone with the wine , salad was just ok, the shrimp excellent, prices are on the high side , but so is every place in the area next to LAX

Absolutely delicious! The price is average for a steakhouse, but the portions are so worth it! Crabcake appetizer....DELICIOUS! My husband and I had rib eye, it was cooked perfectly, and the crust was too die for! Baked potato for a side, and it was the largest potato I've ever seen, definitely worth the price. My son had shirt ribs and they were the star of the table!! So juicy and full of flavor, MUST GET! My little one had pizza off the kids' menu, and man, I swear it was one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted! Our waiter was outstanding as well! If you're thinking about steak, this place is highly recommended. I will say that i was upset that Oscar style wasn't an add-on for my steak, but other than that, I will definitely be back again!

Decent steakhouse, but definitely overpriced for what it is. The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable for the price point. Service was fine, but you get the sense that since it’s right next to the airport and caters to air crews and travelers, they don’t have to try too hard. Also, a bit annoyed that they didn’t ask if I needed parking validation—I had to walk back twice to get it sorted. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again, but it’s convenient if you’re staying in the hotel

It was such a great experience from start to finish! Parking easy! Service great! Drinks perfect! Had a Cosmo and they nailed it and I'm very picky! Last but not least, food was delicious! We started with the crab cakes and they were amazing! For dinner I had the rack of lamb and the massive baked potato! Sooooo good! Highly recommend!
