Visited Shima Huntington Beach for the first time. The restaurant was clean and the staff very attentive. Unfortunately, the main dishes missed a kick on flavor.

Delightful experience and delicious foods. The staff cooks in front of you in an entertaining manner and delivers fresh, savory foods that will satisfy your palette. Intimate setting so if bringing a crowd best to make a reservation. We tried a variety of appetizers as well as entrees. We were a party of 13 and all were pleased with their choices.

It's a cozy hibachi style restaurant. It wasn't busy at all when we went for dinner so we got attended to right away. Definitely feels like a more casual hibachi restaurant than others. Interior was a bit left to be desired but the food was good. Staff and cook were nice.

We came in as a party of two and were really excited. My boyfriend has never had dinner and a show before. We told our chef that we were excited and he told me to “lower my expectations.” And then he literally did the volcano tower and that was it. He didn’t give us a show at all. It lasted like 5 minutes total and then we just sat there and watched the other tables laugh and enjoy themselves. The other chef looked fun. Tossing shrimp. Laughing. Big fires. And we got squat. Wouldn’t recommend if you are really looking for an enjoyable night.

Came here for my birthday this past Saturday, the service was great, the food was amazing. Just a lot of noise. Other than that a great spot for good food!

Great food 🥩🥗🍺 Shima & Filet steak, scallops, shrimp, fried rice, and veggies were yummy but $$$ Shima is as expensive as Benihana. Four of us had dinner and our bill was over $200; that was for 4 entrees, 1 beer, 2 sodas and a water and one shrimp tempura roll.. Also, there was not much of a show beyond the steaming onion and one line of fire 🔥. Loved every bit of this spot, we wanted to try something new but Hibachi Style and they meet our needs. I call 15 mins before our arrival to put ourselves on the waiting list, we arrived on time and they sat us immediately 💕. Our cook was amazing, our food and drinks were good Love the small vibe. Can’t wait to go back!
