Ikeda Japanese Dining

I'm so happy that my usual sushi spot was closed on Sunday afternoon, because it led me to find Ikeda. The lunch specials were a great deal. They came with miso soup which was flavorful and had plenty of Tofu pieces, 5 pieces of sushi or 6 pieces of sashimi, and a roll. I recommend choosing the sashimi - the pieces were large and the fish was clean and fresh. The dragon roll (california roll topped with eel) tasted amazing. I also really liked the garfield roll, which was a california roll topped with baked salmon. Lastly, we ordered a surf roll and I loved the seaweed salad on top! My husband said it was like a dessert roll. All the rolls were thick and well portioned. I will definitely come back and recommend to others. Service was friendly and efficient and there was nice ambiance. I think they still had their romantic Valentine's Day Playlist on because there was a lot of Bryan Adams and Celine Dion playing.

The sushi rolls are fresh and beautifully presented. They offer a DAILY BOGO special ...buy 1 SPECIAL ROLL and get the 2nd @ 50% off. My sister ordered the Bento and said it was very good! There is a decent amount of booth and table seating and very clean. The service is quick and servers are very attentive. Go and check this japanese restaurant out! And you'll be very satisfied!

Eel w/o eel sauce add sesame seeds, yellowtail, albacore, and baby sushi-- Tamago- slightly sweet egg. Also, Super Philly roll (no eel sauce, light rice) and of course, hot sake! Delicious. Also, the atmosphere is calming and cozy... very casual. Highly recommended 👍

My wife and I were having our Kia serviced at the dealership on Beach Blvd. We decided to eat wile we waited and she found this Japanese Restaurant that was right across the street, Perfect! So we took a short walk and we were pleasantly surprised at this random find. We will surely return when we’re in the area. The food was excellent, the portions we generous and the service too notch. Our server was the perfect mix of an attentive and friendly. That type of quality service with the excellent food is in my mind the perfect mix for repeat customers. Something I noticed wile dining. So if you’re in Huntington Beach give Ikeda a try you won’t be disappointed.

I’m an Uber Eats delivery driver, and I am sadly giving 2 stars in a RESPONSE to this restaurant/employee giving me my first EVER bad rating/thumbs down on Uber Eats TONIGHT, even though the issue was resolved. :( I can totally understand if the issue wasn’t resolved, but it was, and the customer was very happy and increased my tip after double delivery. And yet, this restaurant/employee sadly STILL had it out for me and decided to leave me a bad rating. :( I will no longer be accepting delivery orders from this place. Hopefully they don’t do this to other drivers in the future. Especially during Christmas time =/
