Customer Review Summary

Henry's Coastal Cuisine offers a fine dining experience with a strong emphasis on excellent food, drinks, and attentive service. Many reviewers praised the food, particularly the wedge salad, charred octopus, and New York strip steak, highlighting the flavors and presentation. Deserts like the pear tart and a deliciously decorated birthday cupcake also received positive mentions. The drink menu, including options like High West Bourbon and a Smoked Old Fashion, was well-received. Service was noted as top-notch, with specific servers like Vicente and Mei providing attentive and friendly service. The ambiance is described as upscale with beachside charm, situated within the Waterfront Beach Resort. The Baseline: For a in hotel restaurant (fine dining) must have a good drink menu, excellent starters, fabulous main courses, delectable deserts, and a stellar staff to bring out the experience. Food: Chef Lewis is the Executive chef of the hotel and restaurant and put together an incredible meal for me. My starter was a wedge salad that blew me away. Heirloom tomatoes a thick strip of smoked bacon with a chunk of blue cheese was an amazing. Second course was a charred octopus with fingerling potatoes, bean purée, and amazing sauces. I was going for a surf and turf mode this night and the surf was up. The combination of the sauces, aiolis, and pure mixed well with the octopus. Main was a New York strip with mashed potatoes, mushrooms/onions, and asparagus spears. The steak was rare with a perfect sear and sauced with a a flavorful reduction. The only slight less than wanted part of this meal so far was the thick asparagus spears but that is because of my preference, not on preparation or seasoning of the vegetable. Finally, desert was a pear tart which was so pretty I almost didn’t want to tear it apart and eat it. Almost. The poached pears were delicious and the tart was not overly sweet which made for a nice closure to the meal. Drinks were a flight of High West Bourbon and Whiskey and a Smoked Old Fashion. Really worth trying out and enjoying. Service: Beyond top notch! My server Vicente was amazing and anticipated my wants, needs, and desires. Mei was my bartender and took care of me on my whiskey needs. Tony was the head of house and was welcoming, informative, and made sure I was taken care of. Ambiance: The restaurant is inside the Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton property. The inside has a very upscale, welcoming decor that maintains upscale class with a bit of beachside charm. Henry’s Coastal Cuisine blew away the baseline tonight!

Had a nice brunch here to celebrate my Dad’s 68th birthday! 🥳 Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The hotel offers a discounted rate for valet parking with validation, but I took an Uber since I live down the street. We appreciated the complimentary scones to start the meal that were delicious, and had all 3 offered entrees- the Seafood Udon with Lobster, Steak, and Salmon Salad. They brought out a beautifully decorated cupcake for my Dad’s Birthday. The ocean view from the patio is gorgeous. Thank you! I’ll be back!

We were looking at the menu around 8:30 PM (closing time shows 10 PM) but since we already ate similar food, we decided to sit down nearby. Working in hospitality, the 10-5 rule exists and we were within 5 feet where a hello is granted. Yet for the gentleman (maybe a manager based on the way he was dressed and walked around), we were invisible and didn't matter. He grabbed the menu stand and closed 1 door. I'm not the type to take stuff personally, but the way things went down, we couldn't help but feel like we were not "good enough" for this place. Funny part is, if we were dressed up for the beach, I'd understand, but we were dressed up to celebrate our anniversary. Not fun and just on this small interaction, I'd never return nor recommend.

Wonderful birthday dinner here with our good friends. The best wedge salad I have ever had and I order it at every restaurant. The short ribs melt in your mouth. And a surprise birthday cake and card from the staff. The small cake was a masterpiece. I would enclose a photo but can’t figure out how to do it. Oh did I mention the strawberry lime spread for the homemade focaccia bread. The service was superb and the atmosphere was amazing.

Absolutely a wonderful place to have a good dinner after a day in the pool and beach! They are very professional group of people with high level of service. Our server Vincent was amazing so as the manager there. The hostess lady was also very kind giving us some bread even before we were seated because we were rushed out about other place and was forced to chug drink when we were not ready... They have a very good selection of wine with very unique varietals that you will do not find other places easily. Many of them with a great value. I actually didn't even ask for Somalia because I was so happy with hidden gems I found myself. We had their steak for two and it was absolutely amazing. Also highly recommend there brussel sprout!

Place is a great extension of the hotel. The staff and service could use a reboot. If I'm going to pay for premium steak, the stove and cooktop need to be fixed. The chef should know how to cook medium rare if asked. The younger staff needs to know you don't take plates until they are complete and never reach over your customers, for service or to pour any libations.

It was excellent. It's exceeded our expectations we had a great experience. The truffle butter was amazing! So was everything we had though, the butterfish, the ribeye, the lobster appetizer. It was all delicious. Thank you chef!.

Seems like a limited menu but for what they do have, Henry’s delivers. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The octopus was a decent option. Service was prompt.
