The Steakhouse of Helena

Took my kid out to celebrate his 21st birthday. The location is in Old Town Helena. You feel like you have been transported to the 19th century. Very nice atmosphere and upkeep of historical buildings. Now the food was superb! The ribeye was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. There was one overcooked hamburger steak, but that is the only knock out of 20 people. The server did an awesome good job managing such a large party. I will have to return and try the soul food Sunday menu.

This might be one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to eat at. My hubby had the steak and I had the salmon and I can honestly say everything was positively divine! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was fun! 10/10 I will bring every out of town guest I have here.

My first time. I couldn’t decide between a hamburger and a steak I decided to go with hamburger the onion rings which they call onion tangles were to die for the burger was perfect. The atmosphere and the waiters were perfect. I we’ll go back. Sundays looks like they have like a meeting and three will definitely go for that also and we’ll go back for a steak.

The Steakhouse of Helena was pretty much a disappointment for us. We really wanted it to become one of our go-to steak houses but it just didn’t happen. The parking is absolutely nonexistent. You can park behind the restaurant along the side of the street your other option is parking at nearby businesses. As for the service, we didn’t wait long to be seated but we waited forever for our food. When we finally did, we were not happy! The steaks we ordered well done actually ended up rare and the steaks we ordered medium-well ended up well done. I was not real excited with my steak portion size either! I ordered the daily special which included shrimp and steak. The special came with five shrimp which was OK but my steak was well undersized. It was supposed to be a 6oz or 8oz steak and come out about the size of my dinner roll. We did read some good reviews and we decided to eat at The Steakhouse of Helena and I’m sure its much better than what we got on our visit. But, on this visit, we didn’t get what we expected by a long shot! We’ll be back at some point and hopefully this steakhouse will become one of our go-to restaurants!

Omg... Can't believe we waited so long to try this place. Food was amazing. I had steak tips with rice. He had chopped steak with gravy. Delicious! And definitely try the potatoes au gratin. Service was great too. Overheard a server talking to another server saying, "honestly, I can't recommend certain things when they ask because everything is so good." We will be back!

This place is a gem! I wanted a good steak and I definitely got it! The filet was cooked to perfection. The service was great. Jay was our server and he was awesome. All the food was on point. We had several drinks and enjoyed them all. The adult lemonade was my favorite. I will be back, epecially for a good steak!

Takeout/Pick-up:on Sylvia’s Soul Food Sunday. The green beans were so seasoned and flavored. Ziti entree was really delicious. You need to come here earlier than the display hours because the food is gone quickly and dessert. So on Sundays get there soon as you can.

We went Sunday afternoon wanting a steak, but to our surprise they don’t serve steak on Sunday.. Several ppl came in and walked out because of this. We were already there so and wasn’t in the mood to wait anywhere else. Seating in the booths horrible!!!! . It was cold. My little girl said we can’t go back to this restaurant daddy… Out of the mouth of babes.
