5 Star Experience...Where do I start. One of the best overall dining experiences. Walking into the Armour House you can just feel all of the history of this majestic building. The hostess make sure you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Our food was served just as we ordered. Perfectly seasoned, hot and fresh. The appetizer came out quickly and was perfect. The entrees were large portions and definitely shareable. All is all a great dinner and it worth another visit. Please ensure you make reservations well in advance.

The food was amazing! The portions are large enough to share. So don't let the prices deter you. From the Cesar salad to the wood grilled oysters and then the...Lobster Mac & cheese is to die for. Have Mercy!! I'm not one to eat mac & cheese when I dine out, but this right here was one of those times I did and I'm glad about it. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and taste delicious. I had drinks, but they weren't anything memorable. Elizabeth was great! She had a great personality and smile. She was very professional and humorous. Can't wait to go back and try something different.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Southeast! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a fabulous atmosphere and stunning architecture that set the tone for a memorable evening. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, creating an ambiance that felt both upscale and inviting. The food was incredible, with each dish showcasing perfectly balanced flavors that clearly showed the chef’s expertise and attention to detail. Every bite was exceptional, from appetizers to dessert. And our server, Paolo, was fantastic! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every aspect of our meal was flawless. If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to return!

Delicious food, great service, amazing vibes. We enjoyed everything we got and would definitely come back! The Mac and cheese, Brussels, and bread pudding were some of our faves and the steak was perfect!

Everything we order at Armour House was great! We really enjoyed the seafood tower and bread service for starters. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is 10/10. The Australian Wagyu was definitely worth the price. They also offer accouterments for the steaks, which I got a blue cheese crust on top which was a great choice. Will definitely be back!

👋🏾 Im going to miss dinner dates with my sonShine once he graduates. So tonight we dined at Armour House and the food was incredible. Hats off to the chef for the most extravagant and decadent meal. I had a mango sesame mojito with our starter Burrata & Proscuitto and it was soooo good. Our first time eating burrata and paired with the fresh greens and grilled bread was definitely the best choice. For our entrees, we ordered the Prime Ribeye perfectly seasoned and the Bone in Pork Schnitzel was the best thing I've had in a long time. It comes with crispy brussels sprouts, roasted apple & butternut squash tossed in a prosciutto vinaigrette, a 25 year balsamic and drizzled with a ramp aoli. I know that sounds like a lot but it was PERFECT. The sides are pretty large I would say shareable so we should have ordered one but they were both good. Whipped potatoes and Macaroni & Cheese with lobster. The lobster was a nice touch but I wouldn't add it on our next trip. John our server slid in a dessert menu and my son couldn't resist. He ordered the Buttermilk Vanilla Gelato that he loved. 😋 We also got to sample the berry cheesecake ice cream and it too was chefs kiss.

Great food and a killer wine selection. We sat at the bar and had great service from Marshal and Wren. The oysters and caviar were highlights along with our cocktails and wine. We will be back to go deeper in the menu. Glad to see Birmingham finally have a great Independent steakhouse.

If I could rate this 6 stars it would be fair. This place just opened in downtown, I went without a reservation and had to sit at the oyster bar. Only if I knew it.... Not only was the entire experience phenomenal and the food and drinks were delicious but I had a chance to witness Robert Hanshaw in action. He was working in the preparation of the dishes with beautiful presentations and masterful skills, besides being a super nice guy while answering my questions. Saving the best for last, I got a tour of the lower floor where I was told the history of the building as a slaughterhouse and the railroad the used to run right in the back of the building. Plus the super nice Pogo lounge they will open in two days. Just the fact that you literally pull a pogo to open the door to the place and the entire work they've done to restore and revive the building is worth the trip. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
