Customer Review Summary
Food quality at Shula's Steak House varies, with some dishes praised for their taste, while others were considered mediocre or not worth the price. The steak, while expectedly expensive, received mixed reviews regarding its quality. Some guests enjoyed well-prepared meals like lobster bisque and shrimp pasta, while others criticized dishes like the Caesar salad and mashed potatoes for lacking flavor. Service experiences ranged from efficient and friendly to disappointingly slow, particularly at the bar. Ambiance is noted as nice and suitable for hotel dining, though some felt there are better dining options nearby. Overall, while there are positive highlights, many reviewers believe the restaurant does not consistently deliver the high standards expected from a steakhouse.

Good food at reasonable prices, unless you're getting the steak, which are twice the price of most entrees. Then again, this is a steak house, so that's to be expected. I got the French onion soup, prime rib sandwich, and salad with salmon as an add on. They were all cooked well and tastes good. Service was fast, but I was the only one in the restaurant. Ambiance is chill and quiet since I was the only one in the dining room. The bar area is inside the hotel, which has nice energy from the coming and going of guests. I don't see a special reason to visit though unless you live in the hotel or have an event. There are better restaurants with better food for less within a short driving distance.

This was truly the best meal my sister and I have ever had. Every item that was brought out, we were blown away with. Our waiter was so nice and helpful. My lobster bisque had nice giant pieces of lobster in it, and the bread they made me to go with it, was beyond delicious. We also got the shrimp pasta, and the filet salad with added shrimp. And the key lime pie to finish.

While staying at the Hilton Richmond for business, I came in here one evening for a drink before meeting colleagues. I had 30 minutes to kill and thought a quick drink would burn about 25 of those minutes. They were busy, but fully staffed (at least I saw lots of servers) and there were several seats available at the bar. I sat down and waited and waited and waited… The bartender was initially taking care of other guests when I sat down, then walked away for about 5 minutes. He came back and approached other guests, so I waited. After another 5 minutes, he asked me what I wanted. By this time I was there about 15 minutes and was ready to leave, but thought I still had time so I stayed and ordered a drink. Not sure what’s up with the service here, but it seems to be a trend at this property and sadly at this bar too.

Hotel quality. Can't believe Shulas let's them use the name. Filet was cooked well but stringy and tasted like Italian dressing with a hint of the skin of a baked potato. Ate 4 bites. Company paid, so quit while I was ahead. Limited wine menu. Sleep at a hotel, don't eat.

I went here for a birthday celebration. We were a table of 10. The menu is limited in terms of seafood. I wanted lobster so I ordered crab cakes mashed potatoes and spinach. They ran out of spinach so I had kale. The waiter was accommodating and made me a nice drink. But the food taste was uhhh. I had to add salt and pepper to my food. There is no milk or garlic in the mashed potatoes 😫. It was potatoes water and olive oil. Now would I come back no. The ambiance is nice and bueatiful. The staff is friendly but I really believe good food makes the difference.

Food was mediocre at best, classic hotel restaurant food and no where near deserving of prices. Got the ceaser salad and probably the worst ceaser I’ve ever had, there was a stock on every single piece of lettuce which is honestly impressive(ly bad). Go elsewhere for your money

Went here for and early anniversary trip.. This Steak will melt in your mouth!! Omg so good! Also the BEST CRABCAKE I've had yet! Their drinks are strong lol. Waitress was lovely! Also had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. I didn't know I liked capers until I ate this meal. The sides weren't that great and not worth a mention but they were big portioned

I ate here for breakfast on a whim due to arriving extremely early for an Expose' being held at the Hilton Short Pump. The staff provided an optimal level of customer service and they were prompt and pleasant. They took care of my every need (asked questions about things that they thought I might need), they checked on me during my meal, and were even prompt with bringing the check (no pressure to pay and leave of course). I regret that I could not leave a larger tip, but I did leave a personal hand written review and message of thanks on one of my receipts. The food service personnel are truly the stars of this establishment! #GoTeam!!!
