My husband and I had dinner there the last weekend for the Christmas decorations. The place was stunning and the food unique but delicious! Our server was attentive. We sat in an intimate room of the restaurant. My husband got the beef tenderloin and I had the organic chicken. Even though delicious, I felt the chicken was a little dry and overcooked. The sauces definitely elevated the chicken. For dessert I brought home the eggnog cheese cake which was yum! I’d definitely go back when they change the menu so we can try something new. Definitely go for Christmas. It will make your visit even more special.

What a deli holiday lunch with my lady friends! The atmosphere of the hotel was amazing. The food and drinks were very good. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and courteous, a real charmer. A most impressive outing. It was well worth the drive from the peninsula and Williamsburg.

Fine decor and ambiance at Lemaire inside the historical Jefferson Hotel. An exquisite brunch affair and would love to dine here again. The staff was exceptional, tending to my every want. If you are local or just visiting Richmond, you must attend their Sunday Brunch! There were a a variety of food options to choose from, and the wine selection and tasty orange juice made this experience the Brunch of All Brunches! Make Your Reservations immediately, you will be glad you did!

Found within The Jefferson Hotel, Lemaire is top notch. I will say that if you’re trying to sit at the bar or stop and grab a cocktail (during the holiday/decorative season), it’s a zoo. Highly recommend reservations for dinner versus waiting to get a drink. We had 3 courses each. Apps :: raw oysters and trumpet mushrooms with duck confit. Oysters were fresh, briny, and had perfect accoutrements. Trumpet mushrooms were atop beans and duck confit and were perfectly seasoned and homey. Dinner :: lamb shank and beef tenderloin. Lamb was fall off the bone with a succotash type hash. No room for improvement. Beef tenderloin was tender and well seasoned. The jus was amazing - wish there was more! Mashed potatoes were also great. The broccolini was really good. I liked that it still had a bite to it. The walnuts were an odd addition. Perhaps if they had been chopped and served more like a gremolata, it would have worked better. Dessert :: eggnog cheesecake and chocolate gateau. Hubby said cheesecake was alright. Eggnog flavor but not the greatest texture. My gateau was 5 star but VERY rich. I thought it was perfect, but I could only eat half. You could get a side of ice cream with it. I did not. Hostess and server were both great. In all, everyone’s goal is to make sure you’re taken care of. Definitely don’t miss coming here if staying or in town.

We’ve been dining here regularly for more than twenty years, it is consistently one of the best restaurants that we eat at. Last night our dinner was exceptional again. Many restaurants disappoint but at Lemaire every little thing is outstanding, from the presentation of the food, the taste to the friendly service. Dining here is one of the highlights of coming to Richmond which we do often.

We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The service was great. The atmosphere is nice, but the food was OK overall. The entrees were delicious. We ordered the snapper, salmon, and the burger. Those were great. There isn’t a great food selection, but if you’re a wine drinker, this is probably the place for you. We had the mushroom risotto for an appetizer. It was bland. The cheesecake pictured was the biggest disappointment. I love cheesecake and peaches and this broke my heart. My husband had the chocolate dessert and be said it was good. I’m sure we’ll return in the future, but we’ll forego the dessert.

Sara T was an excellent waitress! Our meal was absolutely delicious. I got the Caesar salad, barnyard burger, and pineapple upside down cake. My dad got the scallops. My godfather got the crab cake appetizer and chicken entree . We all thought it all was amazing. Definitely recommend! We also got 2x half bottle Champ Piper which was also good!

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment with my spouse in celebration of our seventeenth wedding anniversary. The server provided exceptional service, ensuring that we felt valued and special throughout the meal. The pricing was quite reasonable, with the total cost for the meal and a bottle of wine amounting to approximately $100. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a suitable venue to commemorate a special occasion.
