Customer Review Summary
Overall, Buckhead's seems to provide a mix of excellent service and quality food, but with some inconsistencies. Many reviewers praised their servers as attentive and knowledgeable. While appetizers like scallops, crab cakes, and lobster bisque were well-received, entrees showed variability. Some guests enjoyed tender cuts such as the Prime Ribeye and Rack of Lamb, while others experienced disappointment with their steak preparations. Side dishes received mixed reviews, with some being flavorful and others criticized for being bland or poorly prepared. Desserts were generally enjoyed, particularly the cheesecake and Key Lime Pie. The atmosphere is described as comfortable but a bit outdated, and reservations are recommended due to the restaurant's popularity. Despite some criticisms, many diners expressed a desire to return.

Sean our server was great. Have had him a few times in the past. Disappointing visit 3/1/25. Had the scallops and crab cakes for apps, both very good. Salads were just ok. I had the steak medallions and crab meat, Mrs had the Veal tomahawk chop. Medallions were not hot and sat too long, her chop was very salty, veggies were good and potato sides were a bit bland. Might be a while before we try here again 🤷🏼♂️😩

I went here for my birthday. The service was spot on. The food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and my glass was always refilled before it became half empty. I ordered the Pork Chop which came with a salad, mixed veggies and potato. In my opinion, in addition to the great tasting food, you get my bang for your buck at this restaurant when compared to similar establishments like Hondo's, Perry's and Ruths Chris. I will definitely be back again.

We had the USDA Prime Ribeye and Australian Rack of Lamb for dinner. They were all very tender and full of flavor. It was one of the best steaks I've had. For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie, Creme Brule and cheesecake. They were all really good. You can't go wrong with any of them. Our server and other staff were all very attentive and very helpful with our questions. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Great service. Most of the food was very good except my steak ironically. Ordered the Au Poivre cooked medium. It was delivered more rare than my friend who ordered rare, and the black pepper was so heavy it drowned the flavor of the cut. It does seem that mine was the exception, as the rest of our party was very happy. At a lower price point it would be 5 stars, but at >$100 per plate, i would expect better.

Hola mi Gente 😃🇵🇷 So we were craving some meat and we looked up what restaurant had food review and this came up. Well let me tell you the food, service and place were all good. The steak was on point and perfectly cook to a medium temperature. I told my self to take pictures of the food when it came in and I forgot after taking a few bites and we ordered the ahi tuna and finished it before remembering to take a pic 😂 Good food and service but the place a bit on the older side with the atmosphere and customers in the restaurant. My wife had the 11oz filet mignon and I had the Cowboy cut bone in ribeye.

It was our 1st time here. It might not have fancy appeal but it has one of the best services I ever experienced not only in Richmond but in whole Virginia. Our water was so attentive and knowledgeable. The rest of the stuff was as attentive. We ordered a steak appetizer, it was really good. I ordered lobster tale and potato cake, it was cooked well. The only issue I had is side vegetables- broccoli was mushy, carrots were dried and green bean ends were dry out as well. My husband order rack of lamb and baked potato. Lamb comes covered with cherires, it looked wonderful. Poor baked potato was squeezed on the same little plate as the side of the vegetable.I wish the side salad would be bigger. The mushrooms were tasty and the desserts were delicious. My husband ordered bread pudding and I ordered blood orange sorbet which they make in house.

You have to get a reservation a few days out to get a table here at the time you prefer. Why? The food is amazing. When you say how you want your steak cooked, they cook it perfectly. Each course of the meal was delicious. Every wait staff I have had were polite and attentive. You can visit the bar without a reservation. They have a great wine and bourbon list. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a great cut of meat with great quality. If you are like me, get your Cesar salad with anchovies.

Went for a lovely dinner with my fiancee. Enjoyed the lovely Lobster bisque shared between the two of us along with Grilled Portobello Mushrooms. My Fiancee Enjoyed a rack of lamb while I had a veil tomahawk lol very different. Service was great even with the kitchen running a bit behind. 9.5 of 10 Paid roughly 170 including drinks Fair price for that establishment. Comfortable vibe. Nice music. Will be visiting again.
