Hondos

This was a good experience another Family gathering ❤️. We had Family style dinner with a set menu and a private room the young man that served us a transplant from Blacksburg va was awesome!!!! I had a cowboy 🤠 ribeye steak was perfect veggies not so much 😫 the red mash were good more smashed than mashed soup and salad hit the mark and I can never go wrong with cheese 🎂 for desert we had a good time try it out you will enjoy the experience 😋

It's very hard to beat Hondos for any occasion. We were sent an email to celebrate our anniversary with them, so we did. My wife and I had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing! Service is always the best of the best. If you have a special event or occasion, Hondos is a must. They even have great lunch specials. If you haven't tried them, don't hesitate.

Started off fine. The waiter even recommends a nice red wine. The brie appetizer was excellent, but the rest of the evening went downhill quickly. There were four in our group, and we all ordered the steaks, 2 medium 2 medium well. When they finally arrived, all four were medium rare to raw. The waiter makes you cut into the steaks before he leaves to make sure you're happy with the way they came out. Long story short, they took all 4 back and but them back on the grill or microwave but when they came back the one that was supposed to be medium was well done and the one that was ordered medium well was rare. Once again, they took back the rare one and started over with a new steak, and after 15 minutes, they returned with a medium rare steak, and the manager told us that's "medium plus." They did remove 150 off our bill at the end, but this wasn't a pleasant experience. I'll add 2 photos of the two medium well steaks. This was my 30th anniversary dinner to boot 😬.

We went to watch the NFL championship games last night and enjoy dinner and drinks at the Hondos bar with Charles, the Lawrenceville Mixologist Extraordinaire! He made us a few special drinks. Among them was his Cherry-Vanilla martini, the Winterberry (Blackberry and Granny Smith Apple martini), and a Bloody Mary Martini with Sriracha, muddled green onion and a spicy flavorful rim! Ask for them by name!

The food was okay. My shoestring onions were stale and cold. My “ Caesar salad“ was made with iceberg lettuce. My ribs were cold which was very interesting because I was told the holdup on my order was because of the ribs.

We had the brunch for my daughter's birthday, and everything was really good! Service was perfect, and our glasses and mugs stayed full. I would love to see some grilled shrimp on the buffet in the future, that would make it amazing!

I walked in with my husband and three kids noticing the high end atmosphere asked the hostess what the average meal price was before we sat. The moment I opened the menu however it was clear she undershot the average meal price by $20-$30. I was annoyed but I was already sitting so we decided to just make the best of it. The kids meals were great and the veggie pasta looked and tasted great. My husband’s steak was mediocre and the side of au gratin was a little burned. My shrimp however was simply ridiculous - they brought out a plate with 10 single bite sized shrimp - they were not jumbo anything. At $41 I was very disappointed. I won’t be going back, the price point of this place was simply not worth it.
