We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here, the restaurant made it so special for us.. specialized menus, complimentary dessert + Polaroid type photograph. Multiple staff congratulated us as they serviced our table. The manager Jessica Johns was so inviting and cordial taking the time to greet our table. Food was stunning. Entrees had noteworthy unique combinations that complimented and melded so well - we got the bass and scallops as pictured. The skillet bread and herb butter was a thing of beauty, we could enjoy it every day 🤩 Pricing was within appropriate range for high quality. Will definitely return to try more dishes!

Urban Hill is a great tasting upscale dining option in Salt Lake City. The best compliment I can give is that every item on the menu has a distinctly unique flavor. While at most restaurants everything tends to have a similar or identical profile. UH keeps each item as it's own. This makes for a great place to order side dishes and starters, even as meal replacements. The roasted carrots as an example were my favorite item. I rate Urban Hill 4 stars and can never give it 5, solely because of the price gouging. Not only are most menu items over priced, but hidden fees apply and are added automatically. A couple at our table said they wanted to share their salad. This brought the salad out on 2 plates. Nothing was mentioned about an additional cost for this but when the bill came there was a $7 charge for splitting. The couple didn't notice. Most people wouldn't. And most may not care. But when over half the cost of a salad is added for something that should be considered exceptional service, it's a blight on an otherwise pleasant occasion.

Excellent sweet and rich brunch, savory items are decent. The decor and vibes are fantastic, just a great ambiance overall. Loved the bread pudding and blue corn crepes, just really dig the out of box flavors and mix of ingredients, especially berries and cinnamon! The French dip was okay, I expected more seasoning as well as the eggs benedict, just solid, but I have definitely had better. Potatoes were pretty burnt so we set it aside, a waitress who wasn't ours walked by towards the end of our meal and offered new ones, which were much better! Overall, I would probably give them another try.

Restaurant & Food: The ambience was fantastic—elegant yet comfortable, with perfectly arranged seating. Their Valentine’s Day service was seamless, from checking my coat immediately to validating my parking at the host desk. Every staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming. As for the meal, every dish was outstanding. The ingredients were high-quality, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portions were just right. My wife opted for the wine pairing and loved it. The servers provided great insights into each dish and its background, as well as detailed explanations of the wines. What stood out was their approach—informative but not overhyped. Their descriptions felt genuine, and the food absolutely lived up to expectations. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and I’d highly recommend Urban Hill for a romantic evening or a special occasion. Service: Our server, Rinne, was exceptional. She was incredibly kind, cheerful, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience for guests. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm made the evening even more special. If you have the chance, I highly recommend asking for her—she did an outstanding job and absolutely deserves a raise. Urban Hill exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to go back!

It's on the pricey side for SLC, but worth it. We were there for a birthday celebration and they printed the birthday girl's name on the menu, brought out dessert with a sparkler, and even took a Polaroid photo of us that they gave us. It feels like you're not in SLC -- in the good way.

The service here is impeccable. The food was so amazing. The peekytoe crab ravioli, pacifico striped bass, and lamb bourguignon are all recommended. My favorite was the chocolate tart-the cream with the raspberries that came with it balanced it all out and made it perfect. The atmosphere was cozy. I can't wait to come back and try everything else on their menu!
