We got a dinner reservation here for a group of colleagues. The food was American style and was fresh. All the dishes we ordered were freshly prepared and served as requested. I had a pizza that was thin crust. The dough was good for the thin crust. The prices are very reasonable here. If you want some good food at affordable prices this is your place. Y

From Scratch in Salt Lake City lives up to its name, offering fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes that hit the spot. We ordered the sourdough bread as an appetizer—perfectly baked with a crisp crust and a soft, tangy interior that was absolutely delicious. The churned butter and apple cider spreads were a great topping. For the main course, we tried and split the Scratch Steak Sandwich and the BBQ Pork Sandwich. Both were fantastic! The Scratch Steak Sandwich featured tender, flavorful meat with just the right amount of seasoning, paired with fresh ingredients that made every bite a delight. The BBQ Pork Sandwich was equally impressive, with juicy, savory pork and a tangy BBQ sauce that packed a punch. Ordered the fresh cut fries as a side. The fries were cold and soggy when they arrived at the table. The house salad was good choice. We didn’t order the pizza, it looked good and seemed to be a popular choice among other diners. It’s definitely something we’d consider trying on our next visit! The atmosphere at From Scratch is relaxed and inviting, making it a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner in the city. While the sandwiches were good, the service was a bit off the night we visited. Our server didn’t provide a lot of attention to our table, which took away from the overall experience. It felt like we were left waiting longer than expected for refills and check-ins.

Came in for a bite after not eating all day and had the pastrami burger and beet salad. Salad was clean af, candied peacans had a holiday taste (warming spice) to them compared to just sugar which was welcomed. Pastrami burger was good, I probably would have swapped the mayo for mustard as the burger I'd quite rich and needs some acid. Fries were crisp and well seasoned and the ketchup was house made.

Delicious meal and fantastic service! I had a roasted beet salad with steak that was phenomenal. My daughter had chicken Alfredo made with homemade noodles. Would highly recommend this unique and charming restaurant.

I want to start off by saying this is THE ABSOLUTE BEST pizza crust I’ve ever had. You can taste that it is truly made from scratch. The honey apple salad was a nice sized appetizer. My visit started off rocky service wise but my waitress made a recovery. There was a lounge that had live music so sitting on the patio gave me a free concert as well. I would love to visit again when I’m in town.

The waitress was amazing! She took our order and never wrote anything down! We had ten in our group! NO mistakes! Super fast service and yummy food!

Pizza was at best, average. The center wasn’t fully cooked and topping just slide off with pretty runny sauce. Also, onions have no business being on a Margherita pizza. For around 20 bucks, you can do better elsewhere.

Great spot for a good meal! Service is overall great, food is better. Atmosphere felt nice and I like that it wasn’t super crowded.
