Revered venue offering aged beef, cocktails & popular fixed-price options in an elegant setting.

Customer Review Summary

Atmosphere is fantastic in downtown Salt Lake City, and the restaurant features a well-designed layout with a cozy wine bar and semi-private dining areas. Food quality generally receives high praise, particularly steaks like the NY Strip and Tomahawk Ribeye, with some dishes like the shrimp cocktail being criticized. Service experiences vary widely; while some servers are highly attentive and friendly, others exhibit inattentiveness and poor communication, leading to dissatisfaction in several reviews. Despite the quality of food, inconsistent service and issues with drink orders have led to some customers expressing reluctance to return. Reservations are recommended, and there is a notable emphasis on the wine selection.

Fantastic atmosphere in downtown Salt Lake City. Our server was attentive and described the dishes very well. The food was prepared to perfection with delectable flavor. The steak, mouth watering and tender.

Bacon wrapped filet medallions were phenomenal. But service sucked. I placed a pickup order and I’m staying at the hotel next door. I walked in and sat at the bar at around 9:25 (restaurant closes at 10pm). I had placed a pickup order as I’m staying at the hotel next door. I figured if there are people still dining and drinking in the restaurant, I could at least wait for my order while having a glass of wine. However, I sat at the bar for several minutes with employees walking all around ignoring me. The bartender, April, finally made eye contact with me and in passing said the kitchen was closed for the night. She just assumed I wanted to eat - what if I wanted a glass of wine? That’s not possible before 930pm while there are still other tables actively ordering more items? Anyway, I said I ordered food to go and I’d like to order a drink while I wait, but I had to do this with my neck turned as April wasn’t walking away from me while I was speaking. She went back to the kitchen to “make sure that order was going” and then acknowledged my request for wine. My food was ready at 945pm and she brought it out in a to-go box and handed me plastic ware in case I wanted to have a bite while finishing my glass of wine. So now we’ve come full circle. I originally hoped (and expected of a nice establishment) that the server would - upon understanding I had placed a to go order that would be ready before closing - would offer to just serve the meal on a plate with proper cutlery. But no. Eventually, April realized the plastic ware was literally not going to cut it, so she offered me silverware. But I still had to eat it out of a to-go container while I finished drinking the only by-the-glass Cabernet Sauvignon available (at the price of $23). Further, as I’m finishing my quick meal, I hear April ask the man next to me if he wants another drink. She didn’t ask me if I wanted another glass of- she just proceeded to bring me the check. I like good food but I like good service more. For that reason I wouldn’t return to this establishment.

Best NY Strip in the City!!!!! Wonderful service, great atmosphere, and location is perfect. Next to the Peery Hotel and down the street from Squatters Brew House.

We had a delicious meal for New Years Eve. The NY Strip was to die for! The crab cakes were delicious! The only reason the food gets 4 instead of 5 stars was because my husbands shrimp cocktail was really quite bad. The shrimp were dry and rubbery. Our server, Justin was amazing. Super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was lovely with a casually sophisticated atmosphere! All in all a lovely time and delicious dinner!

I eat there about 3-5 times per year. The service is always first rate as is most of the food. The staff is very amiable. As for sides, my go dish is the cheesy potatoes, which are addictive. I also enjoy the Ceasars salad. I've tried the pork chop and all the beef cuts, with the exception of the cowboy ribeye. All are very tasty.

Much like most steakhouses, everything is a la carte. Which is to be expected. There are a few dishes that have a main with a side, but, steaks are on their own. I was SO excited to see a Delmonico on the menu, as this is pretty uncommon out this way. I ordered it medium, because, in my experience, it comes out medium rare. Well, eff me running if they didn't make it EXACTLY as I asked. And I wasn't even mad. How could I be?!? Our server, Justin, was perfect. Tolerating us drunk folk as we celebrated my birthday. The "plain" mac and cheese was, by FAR, the best I have ever had at a steak house. If you've not been, I HIGHLY suggest going here! Make sure to make reservations. They have a lot of options to please pretty much everyone. Look at their wine menu ahead of time and if they have a bottle you want, just call to make sure they have more than one. Sadly, I had bought the last Bordeaux :( But, they had an open bottle in the bar thankfully, so I wasn't sad for long!

Valentine's is the one you can not screw up. If I only paid for courses that arrived in order, I would have only paid for dessert. This wouldn't have been a problem if the drinks had been flowing, however I was unable to order more than two drinks throughout my entire sit with a LONG wait in between them. The food was lovely, however receiving my entree 3 minutes after I order, before time to order a bottle, before any appetizers.... I had a reservation over a month out, and was still sat at a cocktail table? I left sober and confused.
