I dined in for lunch at The Barn Door. I love the theme and the restaurant was very clean. I wish I'd stayed longer to learn more about the history and decor. The customer service that I received was absolutely exceptional. I don't remember my waitress' name, but she was the perfect waitress. The bread was so good that I forgot I had placed my order. Lol. I ordered a steak and a baked potato. The steak was good just like I like it. Although I wasn't a fan of the baked potato, it didn't take away from the overall experience. I will definitely dine here again.

The sirloin steak I got was amazing. The flavor and seasoning was on point. My husband’s ribeye was the same way. Mash potatoes were good too. We got the hay stack for an appetizer and it was delicious too. Amazing service by Tamara. She was out bartender and server

The barn door has amazing steaks and the bread is amazing. The ribeye is a great choice and the apple pie 🥧 is a must try it comes out really hot on a skillet. Service is great!

Dingy feel to the restaurant over all. The ribeye was tasty, but tough. The quality of meat was obvious. The mashed potatoes were great! The margarita tasted like lemonade. Will not stop in again.

Well I will say in the past that this place was fantastic. But over the last few months things have changed. Over my last few months I’ve noticed the quality and service have diminished my experience today just solidified my decision to move on, this restaurant has been around for decades so what happened . The service has gone to shit, the hostess acted like she didn’t want to be there and could care less about her job. Granted she may have been having one of those days which we all have. The waitress was polite but we only saw twice and literally had to get random other staff for refills or even get a menu. Then there was the food I come here for the steak normally it’s great but my last few visits it wasn’t very good. And now today holy crap they were heavy on the salt the steak was cooked perfect but seasoned with so much salt I couldn’t get enough water to quench my thirst. And if it was only my steak I’d say it was just an over zealous cook but no it was every steak on our table. I could have sent it back if only we could find our waitress. So moving right along to dessert well we got the bread pudding and skillet brownie. Well they were almost inedible the sauce on the bread pudding was burnt and tasted horrible and the skillet brownie was burnt all together. Today we came in for my sons birthday he just wanted a good steak and a dessert but today was not that day. We’ve come here for his birthday for 5 years and had become our birthday tradition for him, he politely says this was a horrible meal and wants to do a different steak house next year. I’m disappointed and can’t recommend this establishment to anyone.

Not counting the ordeal with the hostess leaving and us having to wait 45 minutes to be seated, the evening was kind of blah. Maybe I'm remembering a different place, but they used to have options when it came to the size of steak you wanted, from a little bitty 6oz all the way up to a 24oz, I could be wrong. I do remember the prices being high, but they are now reaching the point where it makes sense to cook at home. If the service was better and the people friendlier, this would be a decent place to go, but with the frowns and not enough staff, it's just kinda run down. I will say the chicken fried steak was really good, and it was a good size, but i have to question the serving size of the mashed potatoes, the chicken my companion had was dry and tough, she was completely unhappy. Do us all a favor and put the block of cheese back on the table, at least by request, 8 dollars for a pound of cheese, seriously? We did have trouble with getting seated, and the prices are pretty high, I will have to try again to be fair.

We went on a Friday night and were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly host. Bread and butter: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very good. Appetizer: Calamari ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super thick and meaty calamari with great flavor. It battered and fried along with jalapeños, peppers, and onions served with a nice sauce. Ribeye steak: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cooked to perfection, topped with coarse salt and pepper. Chicken fried steak: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was good for cfs… but I’d recommend getting the steak instead. Loaded baked potato: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nothing special about it. It was a good size, perfectly tender, and had good toppings. Macaroni and cheese: DO NOT RECOMMEND! Tasted like boxed Velveeta mac&cheese that had been sitting out for a few hours. Didn’t eat more than a bite. Just order something else. Our sever was very short with us, didn’t check on us, refill our drinks quickly, or bring out our food. She acted very busy for no reason. All the other servers around seemed to be doing a great job though.
