About Toro Toro - steak house in Houston, Texas

Customer Review Summary

Toro Toro provides a lovely dining experience, perfect for celebrations like anniversaries and birthdays. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated, creating an intimate yet open setting. Service is consistently noted as attentive and friendly, with staff going the extra mile to make guests feel special. The food generally garners positive reviews, particularly the tomahawk steak, octopus, and brunch items like eggs Benedict. However, some guests found certain dishes like salmon and lobster mac and cheese to be average and less flavorful. While the prices are seen as somewhat high for portion sizes, many patrons believe the ambiance and service justify the cost. Overall, Toro Toro is highly recommended for both its food and exceptional service.

Went here to celebrate our 16 year anniversary. It's inside the hotel so we had to Valet. Note, the restaurant will validate. With the validation from the restaurant we still had to pay 6 or 7 dollars. I think that was a mandatory tip. The restaurant is beautifuly decorated. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We were well take care of all night. We started with octopus. My husband had bourbon and I had a couple smoked old fashions. They were wonderful. The octopus was cooked perfectly. We got the tomahawk for our main dish to share with the parmesan truffle fries. The fries were crispy, the tomahawk was sexy and cooked perfectly. We ended the night with a chocolate tart and complimentary champagne. It was a wonderful experience. I loved every minute of it, best anniversary ever!

We got brunch here while staying at the hotel. The eggs Benedict was excellent, with brioche as base, surprise. The Belgian waffle was okay. Rancheros huevos was also good according to my partner. Service is top notch. Good ambience!

Wow, what an incredible dinner! Celebrated my partner’s birthday and the staff was so lovely and attentive (I believe our server was Yulissa?). From the perfectly cooked steaks (and potatoes three ways which were immaculate) to the great drinks, it was a truly special night. They even gave us a complimentary dessert and a handwritten note! I’ve never experienced that level of personal touch from a restaurant and found it so special. Thank you Toro Toro!

Went here for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant is located inside of the Four Seasons hotel, so you have to valet if you're not staying there. The restaurant is located on the second floor and it's an open concept style that is awesomely decorated. The seating can feel intimate despite the setting. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is lightly seasoned. I prefer bursting with flavor, so be prepared for that. The salmon was ok, nothing special. The lobster Mac and cheese was decent. The asparagus was good and the fries were average. I don't think the price justifies the quality of the food but the atmosphere might justify it. I probably won't be back for dinner but might return for drinks.

I loved how it looked, a little pricey for a small portion but it does look good. Waiters were just everywhere so it was a little hard to get service but they were nice. I had the Mac and cheese it wasn't for me but it did look appetizing.

Went to restaurant week and had an amazing time and amazing food. The dessert was absolute fire and not too sweet. Loved the crudos and sushi. We also had the steaks and salmon which were both flavored very nice

I loved everything about the service and meal. Staff made us feel welcome. Our server was great. She made great recommendations. She noticed I took a liking to a particular sauce and took the initative to bring extra without me asking. The bison, lamb and octopus was perfectly cooked!
