Very nice place and very stylish. Not too score because : 1. Asked for the wine list and got s book with 100 A4 pages...I kid you not. Impressive but not practical. 2. There where at least four different persons asking if everything is OK. Several times. It was less that 5 min between each... Annoying 3. My steak was rare+ when I asked for medium. Thy corrected that but still. 4. Compared to similar places close by ... A bit overpriced Good place , nice meat... Too friendly. Big winelist

What a wonderful experience. I came with two other friends and we shared a steak, potatoes and a salad. I love that they give you a warm loaf of bread to start. The steak was cooked to perfection and sliced so we could share. They also give you a plate with melted butter to enhance the flavor of the steak. It was absolutely divine. Our server was nice and was very attentive. Place is pricey but worth every penny. I would 10/10 come back.

Sharon and Shea were awesome 😎. Friendly and professional. Beer was good and cold. My steak wasn't cooked the way I asked for it but it was still tasty. Wife's steak was delicious. Was a fun night!!

We had a wonderful celebration for our 18th wedding anniversary. We started with drinks and oysters at the bar before we sat at our table. The craft cocktails were exceptionally prepared, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the piano playing, too. At our table, they added a small bouquet of flowers and tea-light candles for an extra romantic touch. Nassim served us, and he truly elevated the entire experience! He embodies Michelin Star level hospitality. He knows the menu and will help you find exactly what you want. He's an expert at fine dining service without being stuffy; quite the opposite: He makes you feel welcomed, wanted and cared for. I cannot say enough great things about him. The food, of course, exceeded our expectations. We had filet two ways (one with juicy jumbo lump crab in a bearnaise sauce, the other with shiitake mushroom port sauce). Words cannot fully describe the quality, but the steaks were so, so tender and cooked and seasoned perfectly. The lamb chops, again, were perfectly seasoned and cooked and oh-so tender. They were served with a traditional mint jelly that made for a perfect pairing, especially with the Aregentine malbec that the sommelier, Dillon, helped us find. The scalloped potatoes? Unbelievably delicious. There is something special going on with that sauce, and the bake is perfect with slightly browned patches on top. We also had tasty onion rings. I can't remember the name of the dessert, but it had chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache and marshmallows in it with a charred, house-made marshmallow on top. It was wonderful. The sommelier also helped us figure out the wine menu. We wanted a sparkling white for our celebration, but we knew that wouldn't pair well with the steak and lamb. Dillon listened to us and we settled on two glasses of the *best* prosecco I've ever had, before the food arrived (in all honesty, it might've spoiled any future, lesser proseccos I may have - ha!). Then we had the bottle of the aforementioned red with the meal. Nassim timed everything perfectly, which I deeply appreciated because we did not want to rush the meal. During our meal, the manager, Grayson, stopped by our table to see how things were going. He was an absolute delight to chat with, and it gave me the chance to tell him how much we were enjoying the food and the service. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. I understand why they earned their Michelin Star. All in all, the food and atmosphere were perfect for a romantic celebration, but the professionals who work here took our whole experience to another level and turned this night out into a night we will never forget. And for that, I'm truly thankful.

Came here for anniversary dinner here and had a wonderful experience. Joann, the host, was great, as was Patricia, our waitress for the night. Her recommendations were a hit, and the private barrel bourbon was a great choice. The steak was cooked to perfection, lobster was delicious, and the asparagus was probably the best I have ever had, but I have to say the snapping turtle soup was the most impressive.

That Lump Crab Mac n Cheese is delicious... So rich and decent chunks of crab in there. Steak well seasoned and cooked perfectly to medium rare as requested. Onion rings huge though might have preferred slimmer to be able to fit it in my mouth! That foie gras starter had a really nice blueberry ?jam/compote which balanced out the richness

Papa’s Steakhouse offers a wonderful atmosphere and high-quality service. Although my steak needed to be re-fired, the attentive waitress promptly took care of it, ensuring a smooth resolution. The steak had fantastic flavors, though it’s not my personal favorite in the Houston area. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I’d recommend it as a fantastic place to enjoy a meal.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Pappas Bros Steakhouse in downtown Houston tonight. I believe our waitress' name was Yari, and she was one of the best waitresses' we have ever had. She was not only extremely knowledgable on the history of Pappas Bros and the restaurant, but also on how the food is prepared and the various cuts of steak. The tomahawk steak and brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious. We were treated with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was entirely made fresh in house today. This was our first time visiting Houston and our server, Yari, made us feel very welcomed into the city. She gave various detailed recommendations on things to do around the city. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if they have the luxury of being served by Yari, who was extremely polite, kind, and helpful. The Pappas Bros have a mission to make their customers feel like family, and that is exactly how our server treated us tonight. I really appreciate how great our service and experience was tonight, the Pappas Brothers have got it going on. Thanks again to Pappas Bros for the great experience!
